Seriously. Who approved this? This is the dumbest mechanic I’ve ever seen in any game.
No card. NO CARD. Should be the same under all circumstances. Period.
I don’t care if it costs 10. I don’t care if you have to do a quest to get it. No card should be an automatic “If I play this I win”.
Make it “Do 40 damage to opposing hero.” Make it “Set opponent’s health to 1”. Something. Not “I play this and win 100% of the time because someone doesn’t understand how game mechanics should work.”

There’s already precedent for automatic win cards after meeting a specific condition in other card games like MTG. Not sure why Hearthstone can’t have at least one card like that. Purified Shard is awesome and the theme behind it is super cool.

If you are losing to quest priest the best choice is to uninstall. It’s a turd of a deck in the current meta.
That being said, Priest quest was and is more fair than almost all of the other quests, especially before almost all of the other ones were nerfed.

Uninstalling now…
And yes, I believe I have lost to quest priest in more than one occasiion.

Losing to a quest priest is inevitable if you aren’t willing to drop hundreds of dollars buying cards. I’m running a solid paladin deck, but matched up against endless self healing and endless reincarnating taunt minions, it takes time to win.
This card makes it so that the priest inevitably wins. Barring some mishap where they draw with a full hand of cards, or something stupid like that. There’s simply no way to get them down from 40 to zero when they can endlessly heal and armor themselves back up.
Sure, maybe if you are playing an equally broken mage deck, but even then, they are going to steal any card you would be using to defeat them.

Priest is Paladin’s worst match-up. There’s only specific set-ups that work mostly revolving around dredging an early Sunken Mooncatcher or buffing a Smite with Cariel, or spacing out medium size threats with higher health than attack and buffing them for lethal that maybe allow you to eek out a victory against Priest as Paladin but it will be an uphill struggle.
im pretty sure aggro druids players laugh while reading this nice joke

All of the Quests are garbage. Quests were the beginning of the downhill slide for this game.

Because auto win cards are not a solid game mechanic. Imagine two quest priest go up against one another. The game is ENTIRELY determined by who draws this card first. You might as well be playing War at that point. There is zero skill, zero decision making. It’s just dumb luck the whole way through.
Any game that hinges exclusively on dumb luck is not a game which was well designed.

This tbh quest priest is one of the worst decks in the game period right now.
Legit the cheapest deck in the game a destroys had has a fair win rate against the deck.
Ok hes a confirmed troll at this point. Move along folks.

In Yu - Gi - Oh there’s this awesome card called “Exodia, The Forbidden One”. When you assemble all 5 pieces of the combo it reads “Win the game”. Guess what? Exodia decks are some of the worst the game has ever seen. Quest priest, similarly, is merely tier 3. I fail to see the problem here.

Eh, I wouldn’t say that.
Inevitably you will lose to quest priests. The quest makes their deck a bit awkward sometimes, but it’s basically a free win for them if they draw properly, and the games where they play on curve, deny all your power plays with efficient removal, and then cap off with an on curve “I win” on 10 definitely feels bad, as on those games you had no real chance to create an opening to win.
Sure, on average the deck ends up drawing awkwardly enough that you won’t have a losing average against it with several meta decks, but it’s strong enough that it’s definitely not an “uninstall if you list a game to it and we’re tilted” level deck.
The current game state is trash. Team 5 has allowed for powercreep at such an absurd rate it’s sad. No one enjoys these BS auto win cards and they shouldn’t exist.

Eeeeeeeh.
Just because you can’t identify it, does not means it does not exist.
What happens when the priest has to respond to a board and play a card out of turn? Do they have several copies of cards at every mana cost at all times?

Nope. Anything faster than a snail that has board pressure beats Qpriest. Many cheap decks will stomp it.
This tells me you don’t understand the current meta. At all.
Are you some “but I make meh owns teh dexses” guy? This comment sounds like bad homebrew perspective. Most modern lists are significantly faster than anything Qpriest.
If you are playing wild you have even less of a point.
That’s honestly not true. There are several ways to disrupt the process that would negate draw.
Actually, the deck isn’t half-bad. Looking at its matchups, there’s a lot of green there. It isn’t necessarily being bad and or running a bad deck that makes one lose to Quest Priest.
Quest Priest isn’t bad at all. If it draws properly, it’s literally game over. It has extremely efficient board removals and based on personal experience, the theft mechanic definitely targets high cards. I just tracked my last 10 Priest opponents and 9 of them played both my Cariel & Leviathan together, can’t make this up.
Priest quest reward is the worst and most boring OTK they ever created

You clearly aren’t paying attention and are just writing your opinion regardless of the point at hand. In a match up quest priest against quest priest, what SPECIFIC “way to disrupt the process” are you talking about. How, in a deck that is 100% reliant on “play this card and win” does one quest priest out damage the other quest priest? They are both playing identical “heal myself” and “remove enemy” cards. They have no damage output.
How is that game not determined 100% by who draws the ONLY mechanic in which they win first?
