Demon seed + Cariel's weapon

So, I was playing in wild as a burgle rogue, against a demon seed warlock. I discovered a Lightforged Cariel and played it. After that, the warlock stole my Immovable Object. If the demon seed quest is finished, but they have Immovable Object equipped… shouldn’t all of their self-damage to the opponent be cut in half? It feels like that’s not working as intended to me.

“For the rest of the game, damage you take on your turn damages your opponent instead”
vs
“Your hero takes half damage, rounded up”

Yes, that makes sense. Was your oppenent dealing full damage to you? What was the source of damage? Do you have a replay?

Sadly I don’t have a replay, but the source was all of their usual spells and such (hero power dealt 2 damage to me instead of 1, they used several Mass Productions that dealt 3 damage to me each as usual, etc)

Assuming it works the way you say, I’m going to guess that it’s the difference between taking and dealing damage in Hearthstone that’s causing the bug. If both say “take”, the quest reward should be updated to say “deal to yourself” or the quest reward should only deal half damage when the hero has somehow equipped Cariel’s weapon

Yeah, at the moment I’m kind of just assuming that the game is disregarding the weapon effect since the damage is being redirected to the opponent before it can be applied, as opposed to checking if something as specific as that weapon will alter the damage before redirecting it. Either way, first time I’ve ever had that circumstance come up lol
