Lately I’ve been running into demon hunter a lot in ladder, used weapon shutdown cards and still haven’t found a counter that is consistent enough to stop me losing early game probably stupid question but what are the best counters out there for it? thanks
There is no reliable counter. Maybe 2 slightly favoured classes with like 51%-52% winrate against DH.

Egg warrior is the most reliable vs the most common dh deck, but it has lots of other very bad matchups

Its probably another demon Hunter deck. For whatever reason, they gave the two best taunts in the game to the class that needs them the least.
I’d also imagine Galakrond warlock still does okay even post nerf.
Also, quest/burgle rogue is fun against DH (maybe not favored to win) just because all the cards are so OP.
Play Egg Warrior which has a 56% win rate against DH or play DH yourself. Every other deck in the game loses more than it wins against them. Great job again Blizzard.

Its winrate increased that much? It was at like 53% day or so ago.
It only slightly favored against tempo DH now (51.3% winrate), and you still have bad matchups against Face/Dragon Hunters.
Enraged Warrior. It’s the real deal.
Zeddy and Old Guardian posted more refined lists in their Top 5 decks than the initial No Hands version.
Demon Hunter Class has every thing: Big Hero Attack - Removal and Board Clear - Lifesteal - Silence - Draw a lot - Taunts - Cheap Minions and spells - put an answer to any Situation on top
Buff minions attack - Rush Minions - Even Taunts are Useless against this Class
Blizzard never made a Nerf they just slow the OP Cards and call that a Nerf
I think this class really need a good Real Nerf for a lot of it’s Cards or Making heroes HP at 60 instead of 30
Egg warrior is the best deck in the game. It does not have alot of bad matchups. Even VS thinks its the best.
BS, no single demon hunter deck has all that you mentioned.
The best demon hunter deck ATM, tempo, doesn’t have a single taunt or rush minion, and just 2 instances of lifesteal, for a total of 6 health.
Also people are running now one skull of guldan and some have cutted spectral sight.
And people running the silence are dropping 1 drops for it, so if they are running silence, they have less ways to contest early and mid-game.

At the time I posted that it had several matches in the 30% range, even now, top 1000 legend priest matches are horrible and big druid is bad.
I still contend that this decks viability is dependant on aggro demon Hunter suppressing all other decks.
I believe egg warrior is much more easily countered if it becomes the most popular deck
Big Druid feels live even to me. It all depends if he cheats something like the hydra with the sub-quest to really mess your board and refill your hand.
Agaisn’t big druid, early aggression since they don’t have removal, the warglavies to remove a taunt at the expense of almost all your hp (a resource) and altruis and kayn are your way to victory. If the druids manage to cheat a lot of huge demons, you are doomed.
Priest is 40% in your favor. All their aoe deals 2 damage, so that wipes all of your early treaths, and they can kill most of your big minions. It comes all about how many useful spells and minions they discover or create.
egg warrior is also 40% in your favor. Their rush, weapons and aoe wrecks you to kingdome come, and armormisth makes it almost imposible to steal the game with kayn or altruis.
Face hunter is also a problem if they roll well. Their preassure with deathrattle and their 5/6 secret lizard is a real pain.
