So, since Team 5 isn’t giving mage anything that I enjoy playing this rotation,
I thought it might be fun to imagine decks for the class and challenge the experts here to see if they can make them playable, if not viable:)
This is the first Idea I had:
Spell reduction and burn: ( I know, not likely), but if anyone can make a thing like this work, it’s the crafters on this forum.)
See what you think and revise as you see fit:)
If I can’t play ranked with decks I enjoy, I thought maybe I could have fun in casual playing decks from the best card minds on Forums.
Here is the initial list I made. Dazzle me:)

How is asking for deckcrafting tips spam?
There are players who literally follow others around on Forums, flagging anything they post.
Why would you report this. Deckbuilding threads are literally one of the stated purposes of this forum category. He’s doing nothing wrong for you to say this, Blast. We need to stop reporting things because we dislike the author.
Back on topic, I can see this is a wild deck. I don’t have that much knowledge of how wild works, but I will have a look and give my two cents

I don’t know what’s the wild meta, but the deck doesn’t look bad. I don’t think Azure Explorer and Spectral Trainee are very good fits, but other than that, it seems fine.
Can’t say much else with my limited wild knowledge.

I was looking for spell damage, but I couldn’t find good fits. I started with Sif
and Aegon, but I thought they were too slow.
EDIT: So here is what I have now. Sort of a no-minion approach. (I’m running one for the secrets)

Did my best to change it so maybe try this:

If it’s not to your liking based on the deck provided change these for sure:
Remove: Celestial Ink Set (replace with Cosmic Keyboard), Reliquary Researcher no good in a no minion deck especially since you only have 2x Excavate generators in the deck. I would also say Jaina’s Gift because it’s too expensive but you can tell if it’s good or not yourself because I haven’t played it, it just seems slow.
Add: Cosmic Keyboard ← probably the best card in a no minion deck, more summon cards to play for board - best one: Cold Case you can also try the new Elemental Companion since it curves well with Cosmic Keyboard or Build a Snowman.
So what I changed about the list I gave you, it uses the Spell school package to make it a tad more interesting, it has more summon cards that apply a lot of pressure if they curve with Cosmic Keyboard and also added Infinitize since you would probably needed it in this deck.
Also for slower matchups I also added Aluneth for nostalgia.
Can remove it if you want but I just wanted to add it xD
edit: it seems I didn’t add any aoe’s so maybe you could add some board clears as well to my list.

Hope you enjoy.
If you find the deck lacking a bit in draw consider adding another draw spell.
Maybe Arcane Intellect since it can curve with Cosmic Keyboard.

IDK how well I played it, but I beat a sludge lock with it just now:)

I think you played it great.
Make sure to consider any changes I said above the more you play it.
After all one can only know if they play it;)

there’s already a big deckbuilding thread or two.
This one is explicitly mallenroh complaining about the “lack” of strong mage decks.
as it is one of the 15 threads of mallenroh’s complaining about the exact same thing, it is reportable for spam.
It’s not. You appear to have a stalker. Just report him and try not to respond.
In another thread, I posted some youtube videos from the theorycrafting stream of All Spell Mage. Check them out. Maybe you’d find those interesting and fun.

Is mask of cthun the 7 dmg spread over all spell?
I don’t think that will work. It’s just too slow. I would guess you gotta capitalize on your early spells with the 3 cost minion that spams dmg. Your biggest banger mana cost spells have to go face only.
Not that I ever play mage myself, you could add the the 3 cost spam dmg spell to keep the board somewhat clear in the early stages too (if you insist on a no minion deck).
