I started up a game for the new Arena, built my deck, and the game disconnected during the first match. I tried restarting a few times and it said it was reconnecting me to the game for several minutes before I gave up and exited the game. I did this several times and literally could not play Hearthstone in any mode for at least 10 minutes (after which I gave up and did something else). I came back just now, and it let me into the game, but now if I try to play Arena it tells me that my deck is not valid for this game mode. For Arena. Decks for Arena are built IN ARENA. It should not be possible to build an invalid deck for the format. It’s not like I can import a deck into it. It gives me the choices of cards as I go. It gave me Lunarwing Messenger as an option, and now it says it’s banned and I cannot play Arena now.
I haven’t even been able to play complete round of the new Arena and I’ve already run into two major, game-stopping bugs. I am literally locked out of Arena.
I also have two Arkonite Defense Crystals in my deck. It says that one of them is banned, but the other one’s OK. They’re the same card.
Note: I can’t edit the deck. I am not given any avenue through which to remove the offending cards or replace them with something else. It is Arena, after all. It’s not something that should ever be necessary.

Hi! Im having the same issue but with Malted Magma. I drafted the deck before hotfix and mobile release and it now says that both copies of my malted magma are banned and that the deck is invalid.

Personally, I’m not expecting a fix, but I’m waiting for one anyway, because if it’s bugged and they can’t correct it, it’s not worth playing. It’s like, what other issue am I going to experience? I already experienced another major issue before encountering this one, and both of them in my first game of the new Arena. It’s probably better to wait out the beta test (which is what it is, which is why they gave everyone a free ticket).
The new expansion is coming in about a month. About a week before a new expansion launches, they reset all the Arena runs so Arena can get the new set before it releases. If you have an incomplete run at that time, they give you whatever rewards you’d earned so far, plus a Tavern Ticket so you can enter another one free. I doubt it’ll get fixed, so I’m just going to wait for that to happen. Sure, that means I can’t play Arena for a month, but there are other games out there, and I think this is just Blizzard’s way of telling you to play those games instead.

I want to continue my 2-0 arena run but it says “The selected deck is not valid for this game mode”. Lunarwing Messenger is banned. Can you reset my run or give me a free ticket?
The patch note is from April, but I retired my run anyway and I did get my ticket back. So, it still works.
Funny. SpikeSpiegel said he was getting the issue with Malted Magma, and in the run I did today off the refunded ticket I ran Malted Magma. Hearthstone is nothing if not inconsistent.
