I can’t find one yet. Maybe mid range Hunter.
Mill Warlock does it. Expect you have to lose to many other decks.
I’ve heard good things about pairing the 4/6 and 3/5 watchposts. Ogremancer also seems to have a great track record against both them and librams. I can’t vouch for either as I haven’t tried them but it’s a sound theory.
Ogremancer is too late and too slow. watchposts are not good except maybe the 2/4.
Statistically, Spell Mage is getting a lot of tools to deal with the board. So you want to build something resilient that can win without the board.
Demon Hunter with Illidari Inquisitor can be a ton of face damage all at once. Priestess of Fury is also almost guaranteed to smack em’ in the face at least once. Coupled with a bunch of weapons it’s definitely got some reach that doesn’t have to maintain a board.
ogremancer absolutly destroy libram. imagine having a +2/2 taunt for each libram of wisdom they use. Since most don’t run consecration atm, they are helpless.
Its also good against spell mage yeah. If they don’t have freaking deck of lunacy turn 2 .
Paladin kills spell mage before it does anything.
I have had reasonably good win rate against spell mage with face demon hunter. Though sometimes they still manage to rng out a win (like when they got turn 5 marsh hydra out of cenarion ward followed by two tidal waves in a row). It also has pretty decent match ups against most other decks (completely crushes rogues for example). Here is the list I have been using, though I put this together in like 5 minutes so it can probably be improved.
