Seems alot easyer to get started now we just got a new core set new players get tons of packs and free deck of choice and the new reward track is insane at early levels.
If anything this is the most free to play friendly Heartstone as ever been way back when i started 6-7 years ago getting an epic for the class i wanted was a great joy and it toke me more than 1 month to craft my first Legendary.
I think it distinguishes between people who are not picky - ie I will play with whatever cards I have, vs people who have a strong preferences over some classes who will feel like the game is not as fun if they don’t have the cards to play that deck.
I think it’s a matter of personal choice and preference.
or that there’s more fun if you can play any deck from any class, fun or tryhard, but this choice doesn’t exist unless you’re a heavy p2w player
so why would a new player stay on hs when he can get 100% of the content on other games (have you noticed hs isn’t in the top 10 of twitch anymore? while fortnite, lol, warzone, valorant, apex etc…are always there?)
same here, i don’t pay much attention to you because you have almost zero xp/knowledge on this game
no one cares about twitch. you have your own issues with thinking buying cards is pay to win as if blizz removed the rewards track from your HS themselves. every time i come to the forums you are complaining about the same things. it’s been at least 6 months. if you’re not happy then do something about it. buy packs, or stop playing. you don’t give a care about new players or anyone below legend as you don’t take either seriously. so it’s entirely about you and your weird fixation with having a full collection. you know what i spend my gold on cuz i have an entire barrens collection? old packs to get legendaries and achievements. i don’t spend it on standard anything. i have 28% or so now since i’ve started playing. other than a few bundles (got both barrens bundles for my birthday but otherwise only bought 1 $50 set two times) between gold from things and dusting useless epics and legendaries to craft more cards i’ve gotten 28% of all cards in less than a year. i don’t climb ranked in any format. do my weeklies and the occasional brawl if it’s not awful. invest my gold into things i still need cards from. it’s not difficult. some people just don’t want to put in effort to build their collection up.

Please stop comparing “content” in shooters and mmos with CCGS. You’re not supposed to have all cards in a CCG, unless you spend a Lot.
That’s a design choice for the whole genre. If you don’t like It, move on to another genre.
CCGS are not supposed to be free or even cheap games. HS is the exception.

Did you play ever in some of those games that you mention? Probably every game from this list have a limited ammount of free content and a lot more that you can buy or unlock by playing, same like here.

yes and all everything is available for free on those games, if you like how it works, you can buy skins in the shop to support the companies, cosmetics which give no advantage in game

I play this game from second expansion (with bombs and goblins), im not in any way a pro player, but i have knowledge about few of this game that you mention.

Lol, before runes where free, you have to pay for them and for additional pages. Also you have only few champions and free rotation that change every week. Every additional champion cost a lot in game currency, but ofc you can always spend real money.
In warzone, you dont have access to every weapon, some of them are for example only for ppl that have also black ops. To have a good extansions to weapon you have to level it up and that take times, but you can buy blueprinst with already best extensions set up for you.
Valoran have limmited ammount of free agents, i dont kow about cost of them, but im sure you can find it in shop

Yes for those runes that you set up for champion in league of legends you previously had to pay. Also for new champions.
About warzone you are wrong, you have to pass few quest to unlock them all, or pay at the beginning.
