I can’t post links but if you look up the Dalaran Heist page on the official Blizzard shop, you’ll see the page lists 3 specific benefits of purchasing the adventure:
“5 Thrilling Chapters”
“Earn up to 16 Packs”
“Get your Golden Legendary”
I agree with #1 and #2 (might quibble with “Thrilling”), but #3 seems misleading.
Advertising a golden legendary is essentially advertising a legendary of your choice, which was the most important factor to me in making this purchase. Except it turns out it is not that at all, because it turns out it is not disenchantable. I’ve re-read that shop page 3 times now and I can not find anywhere this is disclosed.
Now I’m sure a more experienced player will tell me there is precedent for this, or there’s some tiny print on some other page, but it doesn’t change the fact that the information is not on the single most important page it should be on, the page that is making the sale.
I’m feeling pretty ripped off about this. (btw in case it matters to someone, I am not really a new player in the sense I played years back from launch til about when the first set rotated out, and came back a few weeks ago, but I feel new as in I had no idea this is how adventure “rewards” worked.)
My simple suggestion is either just remove point #3 from the point of sale page; or add a phrase specifying it may not be disenchanted; or if you’re not willing to do either for fear of hurting sales, admit that this is a key feature of the sale and allow it to be disenchanted.
Thanks HealBot for trying to explain, but this is still not adding up to me.
I agree your quote up top exactly matches what is displayed on the store page. I do not see how anything about it refutes my point. The card is added to the collection as promised, what is not disclosed is that it can not be traded from your collection in the way that a Golden Legendary normally can.
Per your second point, I have just used my browser’s Find (text search) feature to once again confirm the that neither the term “disenchanted” nor “can not” appears anywhere on that shop page. If you are seeing it, please let me know where.
I am also confused by your use of the word “free” - the shop page is clearly displaying a price tag - and the word “two” - the adventure grants one Zayle and no other guaranteed legendary?
If I am still missing something, can you please point out the exact phrase I am not seeing or not understanding correctly and telling me how I should be interpreting it?
Again, thanks HealBot for taking the time to respond.
So it sounds like it was exactly as I was described - the important explanation is somewhere else where a more veteran player might have known about it, but not on the shop page itself where the new and naive can be taken advantage of. I would not be surprised if the news item you saw came from a game dev who was interested in providing accurate information, while the store page is from a sales/marketing person who could care less.
I have no complaints about sn1p sn4p and vargoth but they have nothing to do with purchasing the Dalaran Heist.
Bottom line I still believe the store page should be corrected to be less deceptive.
No problem i just want to make everything clear.
You got your Zayle , its legendary its golden , you can use it , all of the cards from it are golden again i dont see any problem. and yes your main complaint is about they didnt wrote the it cannot be disenchanted on the shop but honestly why do you need to disenchant it at first place…
about snip and vargoth , they are part of RoS expansion as it is Dalaran Heist , devs. can easily made them part of Dalaran heist as rewards to milk more money but they instead gave us them for free
i know you feeling cheated , thats why i do my research before i buy something , im so sorry if i offeded you somehow , but we cant get anything about it ^^ maybe contact the support and they will change the thigns in the future
