I have all unlocked classes, and all decks. I tried almost every different treasure with every other deck, but with no success of winning against the final bosses in heroic mode.
Other 7 bosses are almost balanced, with a few exceptions, but oh boy, are last bosses overpowered. I tried to defeat them around 30 times so far, but with no luck. I kill 7 before them and fail even before the game starts because the boss just had best possible starting hand every single time.
Its not fun to play this game mode in its current state because of this.
For example, I lost turn 7 with 100hp on my side (x2hp passive) and i had a full board all turns and multiple counters. And the same thing goes over and over.
It’s hard but not unbeatable. I agree that there are some broken bosses, but if you keep trying you’ll get it. The first two wings I beat in two tries each. Third wing was harder but got it after 81 bosses.
Try and YouTube or find a kripp vod, or whoever, and see how they beat it it. You are likely not building your single player deck correctly since you should have at least beat the bank.
You’re using double health but that’s usually not the best choice. Unless you are playing weapons double health is like giving yourself one extra turn to live… You’d much rather want something that gives your power to kill the boss faster.
I did all of mine with mage.
Heroic mode is a game of ‘kill first boss repeatedly until you get either flag or robes’ then you have a chance, and by chance I mean you need the right buckets and decent second and third artefacts. If you don’t get one of the broken artefacts after the first boss, don’t bother, just reset, its pointless otherwise.
Normal mode however is a little fairer and iv’e won with some weird and unexpected combinations.
Its a shame they didn’t balance the items better, but then just look at constructed every season, they have no time to balance things properly anymore, the incentive is to pump out expansions as fast as possible for profit, the game itself and player enjoyment is no longer Blizzards primary goal.
Heroic mode is meant to be a challenge. Sometimes you might get unlucky with the choices you’re offered and the hands the bosses get, but if you know what you’re doing you can complete a heroic chapter after a handful of tries. And no, even though broken treasures like the robes of gaudiness help, they aren’t by any means necessary.
Chapter 3 might be more difficult, but for me how unfun the crowded streets mechanic is is the bigger problem, since again heroic mode is meant to be a challenge. If you’re having trouble you can check up streamers and see what they’re doing and how the bosses aren’t unbeatable. If you’re not playing a lot of HS (or don’t have too much experience deckbuilding, since even solid plays often aren’t enough if you don’t have a carefully crafted deck) it might come off as potentially too hard. But that’s the reason the packs and the golden pack/legendary only require you to beat normal mode, if you don’t enjoy heroic, there’s no real reason to do it. But for people who play a lot of HS and have experience building decks, normal mode is hardly a challenge and you need heroic mode with approximately the difficulty it currently has to get any real sense of achievement.
Your deck building is determined by the buckets offered. Then you can build toward a strategy which you hope will counter 90% of the bosses IF you get the right buckets, IF you get the right treasures, and IF you get ok passives and then you have to hope you don’t get the 1 or 2 bosses you couldn’t build against.
This POS is broken to the Nth degree. I am glad I paid in gold and not cash for this. Not another cent to this company.
You’re thinking too much along the lines of constructed.
You don’t need to build a Constructed deck. It’s okay to only get a couple of Murloc buckets. You don’t want to build to counter bosses you might not even face, you want to build around your treasures to create the most broken deck you can. Maybe your Murloc deck also has some Silver Hand in it. That’s fine. Play it like Zoo. Your dragon deck ended up with buffs? Cool, make bigger dragons. It’ll still work. Hell, your Murloc deck has more dragons in it than Murlocs? Use the Murlocs to get to the point where you can start dropping big dragons.
You don’t need a Constructed deck. Stop trying to build one and you’ll find Heroic isn’t even that bad. It’s much easier than Dungeon Run, Rumble and Witchwood were
This is categorically incorrect. It is not easier than Dungeon Run OR Witchwood.
There’s an argument to be made for pre-nerf Rumble Run but even then it was quicker to win by re-rolling something OP. You just needed the Rogue (card steal) or Mage (hero power) Shrine and off you go.
Takes longer to roll Big / Robes now. You need to clear a few bosses before you know if you’re on a winner.
Full clear Dungeon Run: close to 1000 boss kills, 200 on Priest alone
Full clear Witchwood: 180 fights on Shaw alone
Full Clear Heist: maybe 200 fights across all 5 wings total for both difficulties.
But sure, it’s not easier.
I’m defining full clear as unlocking the card backs, not finishing everything with every character in Heist.
I congratulate you on getting better at the PvE aspect of Hearthstone. You must have struggled early but I am glad you persisted.
Heist is far more difficult than Witchwood and Dungeon Run. You just have a much higher ability to go crazy OP in Heist, but the win conditions required to make it through are far narrower in comparison to DR / WW - bar Toki. You pretty much need the Double Spell passive to get through her.
DR you can clear on most classes in multiple different ways. Easily unless you run smack bang into a specific counter.
Hint: Arch-villain says to you ,use cheats… like yeah not really fun with the op treasures.
