After I destroyed Astalor for 1,600 big one’s, I went shopping an bought an Invincible.
Now I am not totally dissatisfied with my purchase, but does it make my deck invincible? No, no it does not lol. I enjoy the animation of the card, it has some decent value tricks with Deathrattle triggers but ehh…
It’s like a worse Bonemare, which is bad to say since it’s like supposed to be it’s better half. At 1 more mana, you get +1+1… but on a random “undead” target. VS Bonemare’s any target…Yeah it has Deathrattle an Reborn which is swag but ehh… I’d like it a tiny bit more if I could chose the battlecry target at least.
What is some Legendary’s you guys are enjoying that aren’t the “best” of the meta if anything?
I also crafted Invincible, because it’s a neutral legendary and I would say this card is not mediocore, but good. Just because it isn’t an all-time inclusion like Astalor, doesn’t mean it’s mediocore. For specific deathrattle decks like Rogue or Druid this card works very well, specifically in Rogue this card is kinda over the top, when you get a 4-mana discount with graveyard on board. It decided too many games for me.
Wow, well I am quite pleased to hear someone else crafted this card an has been having a good time with it! You’ll have to forgive me, I haven’t tried the card in a class like Druid or Rogue, just Warlock lol.
Haven’t thought about it’s power for wild. Jade Rogue is quite old school, props for playing that in Wild.
Thanks, but even if it’s Jade you could easily replace the Jade cards with other powerful DR, because this deck works, because there are powerful deathrattle tutor cards. Scourge Illusionist is kinda busted and carried deathrattle rogue in Standard pre nerfs.
Lol it’s possible, but not ATM since my dust reserves are currently 0!
I don’t think I have ever seen someone play that card yet o.O. That is very off meta, cool card to select lol.
Mediocre is really simple in this case… Is the Legendary in a meta deck? Perfect example is Hunter’s Hydra minion. That is not a mediocre legendary. So if you have an off style legendary you like for whatever reason, that isn’t part of a classes strongest deck it’s what I would call “mediocre”.
Lol what a boss pick . Big murloc fan? Murder mystery fan? All of thee above?
It’s actually way better than Bonemare…the problem is that the meta and power creep have come so far since Bonemare that it just feels worse lol
We’re always reminded that “Once upon a time” cards from past metas often can’t hold a candle to the power we have now.
Invincible is one of those cards that would be great in a deck style that simply cannot exist in the current meta. One of the coolest things with Invincible is if you can get it to die and then you play Xyrella hero card…what happens after Xyrella goes off is absolutely amazing. But you don’t get to see it because any deck that currently is able to play Invincible and survive long enough to play Xyrella is trash beyond comprehension.
But man is it pretty when it goes off.
Has a special place in almost all my decks. She’s amazing early on against aggression and she’s a great card to pull later. I honestly have no idea why she isn’t in most Control Priest lists. It’s sad our meta is in a shape that doesn’t allow her to shine.
One of my “is it good?” tests on low mana cards is if the card is good draw early, mid-game and late game. If the answer to all 3 of those is “yes” then it’s likely a very good card to play because of the versatility.
Legit LOL’d. Instantly brought up a memory of me playing MTG an going to a card store looking at this $1 binder, an I bought a 5 Mana Counter spell from it. My buddy was like “why”? An I just can’t help myself I guess lol. Like why not?! Maybe I’ll have some fun with it who knows…
I think this is exactly what I needed to hear. That the card is kinda “great” from a standpoint, but the current end of year an power of cards is just insane. Would be really interested to see that Xyrella combo with the card though, sounds boss!
An as for this…
This def qualifies, an is such a neat Priest early drop card. You don’t see people play it though, I guess it doesn’t just do enough for some. I think she could have Windfury being a harpy but ehh…
I like your statement on “is it good” test for low mana cards. This is for sure gonna affect how my future deckbuilding goes for any card game. Thanks for that nugget of wisdom.
You have something cool picked out. Because the card offers a lot technically, evens gives you knowledge on where the cards are placed in the deck. But he doesn’t see play.
To hear someone who liked the character an what it asks for you to use like dredge minions to help “technically not required but useful” says the design team did a good job. Thanks for sharing man ^^.
Wow I didn’t even know this was a Card lol. I had to look it up, fun pick! Looks like it could do something wild, just need the right opponent. Like Mage’s who play those huge spells, or Pure Paladin scoring one of those invitations cards .
Yeah its more relevant with the +1 defense and taunt buff it just got in the last patch, allowing you to at least play it against aggro even without a good spell to recast.
Just blows that not being able to discover, target or otherwise interact with the spell itself since it autocast vastly limits the use.
Cookie the Cook. He’s been a staple card for Shaman since he was released and has been completely inoffensive despite being able to slot into almost any Standard Shaman deck.
