Crafting HOF cards before rotation

Just curious, if Baku is going to HOF and I don’t have Baku, I should be enchanting a golden Baku since it doesn’t cost me anything once it is rotated out. Is this correct?

Wouldn’t that flood the wild with even more cancer cards? Also, if i don’t have any of those cards, i should craft them all golden?

It will give those cards access to more players, yes. And also yes, you should all craft them golden.

Only if Wild couldn’t hand Genn/Baku. Right now Genn and Baku are good but not dominate or incredibly strong.

  • Even Warlock maybe 5% of meta
  • Even Shaman maybe 8% but climbing in honesty
  • Baku Rogue maybe 3%
  • Everything else 4% at most

Actually the real question is whether March is going to be super infested with Even/Odd in Standard since everyone is crafting them :thinking:

If you already own Genn and Baku normal versions, should you craft the golden ones? You shouldn’t right? (Unless you want to keep the golden ones, naturally). Because if you have both versions, only the golden one gets refunded.

If you have Genn, craft a golden Genn, get refund (only for the golden version), and then dust the golden version you get the same amount as you would if you didn’t craft anything, right?

Correct, you only do it if you really like playing golden cards.

You are effectively losing 1200 dust too. If you crafted golden, then dusted your non-golden after HoF, you’d get 400 dust for the non-golden one. Had you not crafted the golden version, you would be refunded 1600 dust for your non-golden when they went to HoF. So you effectively lost out on 1200 extra dust. You have to value the golden hero at 1200 dust to decide to craft the golden versions.

yep, you get free 1600 dust from DE the golden genn afterwards, which is the same as not doing a thing and gaining 1600 from HoF with the normal one
