Even though I have 60-70k dust banked, I’ve never been able to justify an extra 1600 dust to craft a Legendary golden.
I mean, that’s throwing away an entire Legendary just to make another one shiny, with no guarantee I’ll end up using that card a lot.
I’ve only ever crafted Goldens for cards entering the HoF.
Well, that’s why you choose wisely. I crafted Golden Nzoth knowing I wanted to play a bunch of slow control decks (my favorite archetype). This card has been one of my most used cards. I crafted Golden Shudderwock because Shudderwock is a stupidly busted card by design, and I main Shaman as a class. Pretty straightforward.
Few cards can be justified to be crafted Golden, but when you know you know.

This makes me want to start a new account just so I can get enough dust and craft a golden whizbang, I’ve got a normal one, but I could dust it and still use the golden one whenever I wanted.

The Legendary G0olden cards I’ve crafted
Priest Galakgrond
Madam Lazul
Zephyrus the Great
Archmage Antonidas
The Amazing Reno
And a bunch more I just don’t feel like looking up the spelling for them.
But yeah, they ain’t cheap.

2 years ago? When control/fatigue bomb warrior was meta I crafted golden Archivist Elysiana.
I loved that card and it gave me 10 more golden cards so…
I crafted a golden Akama and Shadowjeweler Hanar as I thought both would see a lot of play. I’ve defo had my moneys worth from Hanar but Akama has ultimately been a disappointment, his Prime simply isnt good enough for him to see play.
Perhaps in future when the ‘created by’ stuff goes away and we see some different cards added he might have his day.
Those are the only two goldens I’ve crafted in all my time playing HS.
only whizbang (not a p2w player)
wtf o_o

well actually, the golden legs actually have the best ratio when it comes to disenchanting value
but i know what you mean
All the other ones are more 8 (4) times the price of the DE value
Common golden: 400 dust to craft - 50 DE value -> 8 times the price
Rare golden: 800 dust to craft - 100 DE value -> 8 times the price
Epic golden: 1600 dust to craft - 400 DE value -> 4 times the price
Legendary golden: 3200 dust to craft - 1600 DE value -> 2 times the price
Which is probably why they usually never nerf the epics or the Legendaries that are the broken pieces of the combos, but rather the support cards which tend to be common or rare.
I am currently saving dust, cuz I want to have every single card in gold in my meme decks. I play with grace!

Golden Tony is mandatory for any mage player. I happened to open one from a tavern pack.
Goose is a good pick too.

You’re very wrong. It sees play in many reno lists.
I crafted Leroy golden back when I had block one miracle rogue so I got the golden coin than they nerfed his cost and I got it back never again.
Never. If I get a golden legendary in a pack I’ll keep it but I’d never craft them. I want as many cards as possible so I can mess around with whatever decks I want.

You really shouldn’t joke about such things.

Indeed, you have to look first for alternatives. The Jailer is far better, trust me.

I’ll go with Galakrond. I get to keep my soul but still get power. I just have to remember to stay out of the limelight until Reno and the RNGettes rotate.

Please tell me you are kidding…
He’s a fictional character after all. I’m a religious person so these things are not a joke to me.
