Craft a golden before a nerf?

Zilliax. Getting nerfed. People say craft it golden before the nerf to get full value.
If I spent 1600 to make it, and 1600 to upgrade it, why am I crafting it golden just to disenchant it? What am I missing?

Is that really it? Thanks! I thought there was some way of profiting dust that I was missing. Cheers!

Perhaps its more for people that opened it and didn’t craft it. So they spend 1600 to upgrade it to gold and then get 3200 when its nerfed. They can then craft the normal version and get another free lego.

My heart won’t allow me to disenchant my Golden Zilliax to get 1600 Dust.
I got him in my first Pack. I can’t allow myself:(

Why don’t you just play and enjoy it? Looks like a very good card still.
