King Krush into King Krush into Grommash into feast and famine for 32 damage on turn 8.
Thank God, that the deck doesn’t have early game for a combo that strong on turn 8 …
oh wait.

so all the paladin who played different legendaries made that bad choice when they couldve gone of that combo ??? weird
The countess can highroll something awful. It’s hardly ever a miss.

That was a highroll. Lucked into lethal from hand from three invitations.
I mean it’s HS. Game is built on RNG. I don’t get surprised with cards like The Countess anymore.
If yall think countess is bad, just wait tell you see the expansion after titan, whoa baby its gonna be crazy
because paladin now will hold ginger titan, so paladin need 100% OP if not 13,52%, go woke, bro.
And that is what happened to me on the game before. Let’s not forget the fact that you can get Rommath that gives you 3 more Legendaries for 0 mana each.
you forgot to mention 20 damage from hand with windfury weapon and weapon buffs, for good measure.
I think Countess is stronger than the titan paladin will get.
You shouldn’t be able to highroll an OTK.
It’s okay to highroll bigger stats for the mana cost. But highrolling an OTK is ridiculous.
I left him with no board on turn 7, with 2 charges on the horn, and i got hit with 32 to face from hand through pure luck.
Countess is the quintessential I do nothing but I still win card. In a deck that already relies on little more than basic piloting skill, the countess rewards greedy, low skill base players with win conditions they have no business discovering.
sorry but countess effect is intended so you are wrong about that bit
Fair counter argument.
Nowhere did I say it wasn’t intended. I am able to decipher the text of said card.
What I should have said is that the card stinks. Way too powerful effect in an archetype that, BY DEFINITION, is running only pure cards. This is supposed to come at a trade off. You get slightly more powerful cards, for the fact that you cannot run neutrals. Now, pure paladin doesn’t need neutrals at all anyway, because each card is so overpowered, they likely wouldn’t want to run them.
Countess is a cop out card played out of desperation, often winning poorly played games, simply for playing the card. My opinion of course.
the 3 card combo out of countess like the one OP described isnt something easy to pull
anyone who played countess a few times knows this
he says to the complaint brigade, as if they’re fair
Cards like the countess tend to always be strong at the beginning of a new season and fall off later.
How am i unfair?
Please explain to me how The Countess is an actually balanced card. 7 mana 7/7, get 20+ mana worth of value for 6 mana next turn.
Potential to get 30+ mana worth of value if you get Rommath, which would make her 13 mana 7/7 draw 3 very good cards and 3 average-good cards and reduce all of them to 0 mana.
Considering the relatively small pool of Legendaries in Standard it is very unlikely that the Countess will completely miss with 3 Discover effects.
This card is mana cheating at it’s peak. I came back to Hearthstone some months ago and i was buffled when i saw the cards effect, and now with the new addition of Horn of Windlord the deck is just plain ridiculous.
Even if your opponent highrolls you should in some way be allowed to answer. Pure Paladin has become a joke, and a bad one at that.
You just answered your question: because it can do that which, according to Blizzard’s standards, is perfectly acceptable. It’s ok to have powerful cards.
7 mana 1/8 titan looking goood. I honestly prefer that they don’t touch pure paladin with nerfs and instead give them the druid treatment.
My honest favorite highroll of highrolls is when your first Invitation gives you Rommath or Silvana.
