I deeply dislike the idea of the corpse mechanic being for DK only, because burgle, discover and that 9 Mana neutral spell exists. It’s either should be not possible to discover corpse cards or give other classes corpses too. But getting your hand filled with corpse explosion isn’t fun.
What do you think?
They’ve already received enough complaints that they intend to change this at some point in the future
Pretty sure you can’t generate corpse cards if you’re not a Death Knight? Only copy them.
But uh, discover pools are way too consistent anyway.
You can burgle them. The easiest way is the 4 mana Dr Dragon and xyrella…
That’s not burgle. That’s a copy effect.
I believe from what they said during reveal season, you can Discover or randomly generate some corpse cards currently.
When I was using my Fires of Zin-Azshari Warrior deck to complete the Nozdormu quest earlier today, I randomly generated a Lord Marrowgar from Fires during one of the games.
If the card has a base effect with the corpse effect only providing an additional benefit, then you can discover or randomly generate it in another class.
If the card requires corpses to do anything at all (e.g. Army of the Dead or Corpse Explosion), then random generation and discover will not give them to a non-DK class.
But as Skizzy wrote, they’ve already said that everyone will have a corpse counter (though it will only be shown for other classes when it’s relevant).
i was sure i read somewhere they made it so you couldnt burgle cards like corpse explosion
But you can burgle a Hero Card.
Then all of those Corpse cards in your DK deck become useless after you switch over.
Didn’t they recently change it so you can generate corpses from cards that explicitly generate them?
They should change it, so stolen cards can use corpses that the DK player currently has available.
The worst class in the game has the tiny niche that only they have corpses.
Let them keep it until every other class gives up mana cheating
What has this to do with my topic? It’s a bug that other classes cannot play cards, because they don’t have a mechanic. Based on this logic other classes shouldn’t be allowed to use outcast cards, because it’s unique to DH like corpses to DK, but everyone can use it, when they get it.
Don’t know… at least in my last games I couldn’t use corpse explosion as Priest, when I copied through my 4-mana DR dragon and it just blocked my handsize.

No. You can still get it from cards like the 3/1 that generates a random shadow spell, for instance.
