Core set changes thread

Well the people that complained about it finally get their wish, and we all know what i am talking about here.

probably my favorite core set card ever is being taken out. They gonna lose more than gain in playerbase over this i bet.

Edit: i might actually be done with playing rogue for now aftee this, onto making mage my main class

edit 2: insult to injury, my other favorite card tess is leaving as well

you can play wild if you like

otherwise, my condolences (as a wild player)

I mean Rogue is getting that crazy good legendary spell as it’s core legendary. That’s totally a fair trade off for Shadowstep sitting out a year.

Honestly, good riddance. Peace out Shadowstep.

There is very little leaving that I will miss.

I thought many of the incoming cards were odd choices. Many of the incoming legendaries could see play but I’m not sure about most of the others.

That card limited the design space of cheap minions with good battlecrys for everyone, not only for the rogues themselves, im glad it went away

although now that I think about it im a wild player so this doesn’t affect me anyway  :face_with_spiral_eyes:

color me surprised. So was the last one, lol.

Is more or less on the same level actually.

Khadgar gives some Hope for summoning shenanigans , First flame is a good ant aggro Tool that helps to keep some synergy with the not from deck cards.

In general not changes anything. Runic orb could have get that 3 damage buff but nothing people not expect.

If Schyla says it’s trash? it’s trash. and Schyla? Says it’s trash.

But tell me more about how mage isn’t treated differently, and I am just biased, lmao

First Flame is a great pick up when you lose Seabreeze. Ruined Orb is a contender to help the Dragon combo. Losing Glyph hurts quest Mage but if you need someone to point out “fair” Warlock lost The Soularium which is way more potent for its standard quest deck.

And Khadgar is actually Goated. Plus, Mage now has Deep Freeze as an option to grab from effects. The only remotely Mage dud is Astromancer lol.

But It is thrash.

I Just saying It is the same trash that was there before.
Not a worse one.

In fact i surprised because It is usually a downgrade.

other people, who play just as well as you, disagree.

Guess we shall see, eh?

If you wanna gamble let me know.

well, to be fair, Shy also says everyone got crud, but mage is probably the worst.

And so did Zeddy, so just sayin’.

I would love to play THE with you. I played in the world series of poker in 1991.

I love learning.

Seems like a partial trend away from stallstone.. a lot of board clears lost, a lot of snowbally 1 drops added.. but at the same time underking, paladin cogwhatever, and voidlord make their way back into the game.

Seems like a lot more obnoxious cards entering rather than leaving though. Hopefully they can come up with a fun expansion concept because these core changes are rather blah even if they are sort of slanted to supporting faster deck styles.

Rogue is my main class and it will be trash without Shadowstep

I could imagine the thief archetype existing without Shadowstep, but they also remove Tess. It’s like a nail in the coffin

The probability that I’ll quit is increased

cheer up. They will probably give rogue the best spell damage deck the game has ever seen, or a freeze board/ ice block deck lol.

I like that two mana spell with 2 damage and discovering

In comparison with Rogue Mage will not be trash, although in comparison with some other classes it will be not good

You need to stop taking everything Schyla says as gospel. I’ve seen him make statements that have been quite wrong several times.

As for the gamble /lol. I tossed those words out because I have read from you many times about your history with Poker. I dunno what exactly the stakes are being asked here. If it’s about the Core set cards being trash then you’re doomed lol.

Mind you, a core set doesn’t make a deck. So yes, like every other class Mage is going to need decent stuff from expansions. But the new Mage core set is going to have cards used from it for sure in meta decks.

In this case you can pick Rogue as a main class, but I doubt that they give Mage something like Shadowstep
