So whats your opinion on a deck that has literally everything in terms of early mid and late game with removals as rancor minefield and shield slam and late game with anything else in their deck. And to top it off you have Kresh to give you 8 armor and a 2/5 weapon because why not. I think that this is totally okay right?
I played against a control warrior who had no win condition aside from fatigue. They didn’t have the silas OTK, no C’thun, just endless armor. They eventually lost, but the fight took thirty minutes. I can’t say I’m a fan.
I think rush warrior would be a better deck than control warrior, since it has the tools to end the game.
Control warrior lacks an important things that enables control decks: an infinite value generator.
If warrior gets a card like Jaraxxus, for example, it could become a good control class in standard.
For the time being, it doesn’t make much sense to play control warrior, expecially since Ticketus ans Mutanus exist.
Rush warrior is better, imo
Yeah rush obviously is better and much more fun to play with or against. But control is just a cancerous deck that the only way to win is by fatigue as someone mentioned earlier, and thats why i hate it.
Wait, so it’s a real deck?
I thought you were asking how to build a good control warrior!
I can’t believe there are people that are playing a deck with “natural fatigue” as their only win condition
It’s a deck for quite a while now. And is currently one of the top tier decks sadly.
It’s funny to enjoy controlling a match while having no control over how it ends (no win condition).
Its just annoying being able to completely control the match like no matter the size of board or minions and winning on fatigue, well grats for one more time blizzard you made it.
I matched against a priest earlier using my high tempo DR DH deck and am sitting there in fatigue wondering to myself, are they having fun? To just sit there, remove and heal seems so boring. I know it’s at least boring and frustrating to play against. But, I did lose, so props to that priest.
Control Warrior has been a very popular deck since day 1 of the game, this is nothing new and while it is the archetype i have more losses to since i played Freeze Mage for many years it doesnt change the fact its one of the most iconic decks ever that is going nowhere.
I recently played a game against a C’Thun control Priest.
3 Soul Mirrors. My second game in Standard since C’Thun came out where C’Thun was actually played. The Priest still lost to fatigue.
I tried adding them to ask if they were finally ready to take out C’Thun. They didn’t accept.
I won the battle, but I lost a whole lot of time.
What were you playing? Control Warrior?
Not quite. It was more a midrange Warrior with Rush and N’Zoth.
Bottom of tier 3 and after looking at it’s matchup win rates I can see why. For a control deck, it sure does lose to a lot of aggressive decks.
Yeah bottom of tier 3 from bronze through gold.
Well, but can we all agree tho that the fact that a deck can win only by fatigue is annoying at best?
For real, control warrior now? Is something allowed to exist?
Go play poker and give us some rest.
Yeah sadly it is and i had some terrible games against it the past 4 days.
I just don’t get why you wouldn’t at least put C’Thun in the deck. If my opponent had it they probably would have won.
About the “fatigue thing”, I think one of the issue that people are facing is that they don’t understand (or at least they get it very late) when the game is lost. So they just keep failing agression again and again until fatigue.
If by turn 15 you failed to kill a control/fatigue deck and your deck is not made to get value on the late game, don’t bother, just concede, that game is lost, it will just take you 15 more minutes to be dead.
Once you understand the game better and you know how to determine if the game is lost or not, frustration will go down.
