Aggro decks are always playable. That’s why players hate them. Sometimes combo/control decks have the spotlight but aggro is Old Reliable.
Like an old pickup truck.
Sure, you might have to turn the radio dial for the windshield wipers and maybe you need to hit it exactly 2.72 times for the heater to kick on, but the engine is good and it’ll get you to where you’re going.
historically over the last decade.
its more aggro has swallowed mid-range.
But then its all about how you define aggro.
Is pure paladin that often kills you on turn 8 aggro?
is hound hunter that often kills you on turn 10 or 11 aggro?
Any decks playable. Game dead
We have cards.
Therefore the game is dead by default.
Honestly I just hate when my opponent is allowed to play.
Game loaded in when launched, game is dead.
My opponent HAS CARDS!! WTF BLIZZ?
I’m pretty sure people just hate aggro decks because they are intended in the game and fun as opposed to playing only control cards
Talk about bad manners!
Everyone thinks fast = braindead. Speed, in and of itself, is a skill. It takes practice to be fast at anything.
Secondly, there is a big difference between playing aggro and playing aggro well.
I will use Odd Paladin as an example. In the beginning, I treated my board like it was disposable. But I started losing more the higher I climbed.
I won matches that were my worst matchups because I learned to treat every board like it was my last. The light bulb clicked on and I had a new perspective of how I should play the game.
I broke into Gold 10 tonight just from playing dailies with a modified version of the Hunter deck they gave me for free. Because I learned how to be smart with my resources.
That is what players do not understand about aggro decks - win fast or lose. That’s it.
Cannot control my insatisable greed of complaining.
The thread is poking fun at all the people who complain that x archetype of deck is killing Hearthstone. I felt like it was pretty obvious but I’m spelling it out for you
Bruh I’m just having fun. Why so mad bruh.
Make it seem like I’m the one complaining 24/7. It was pretty obvious that I’m just trolling around and you fell for it.
SURPRISE!
Check your Bnet.
Let’s be honest here, you don’t really have think all that hard to play aggro lol.
Games that are decided by turn 7 dont require skill. It requires luck and the right cards. Please stop telling lies.
Could easily say the same about control decks when all you have to do is play cards on curve.
In reality there are nuanced decision making for both, accounting for what your opponent might have, risk assessment, what to mulligan, etc.
It’s the same in fighting games where people say ‘rushdown takes no skill…’ ‘zoning takes no skill…’ ‘these fundamental tools are broken all you have to do is 1 jab/ light punch and get frame advantage.’ These all sound kind of stupid to me
Except that’s not at all how control works. The main goal of a control deck is to control the board through various spells/minion effects. It’s expressed by how the game slows down and eventually put itself in a favorable position. However, players cannot achieve this end state if they lack foresight and experience to fully utilize key control cards. Which is, quite literally, by design, the polar opposite of aggro decks. Hence, they have been dubbed as braindead, and rightly so.
I can tell you firsthand from my Tekken experience, this will only ever work against new players. All the experienced players (Red rank +) know very well how and when to punish attack strings. And chances are, they know your character better than you do.
