Congratulations Blizzard. You ruined the last fun game mode

Gotta agree with this one. They should implement new minion types like orc or human in BG’s. The buddy system is terrible.

No, I told erikas9 (thanks for admitting that’s just your alt account, btw):

In response to telling people who don’t like the new system to “shut up.”

Not only are the shills unable to cope with people criticizing their beloved company (and can’t quote honestly), they are so desperate they have to flood the forum with alt accounts to try and make it seem like there’s more of them than there are of us!

And more off topic political bait! You truly are a joyless person to have whoever is in your capital living rent free in your head!

And now back to discussing the topic with non shills:

If mercstone taught us anything, it’s that they don’t do playtesting anymore or if they do they don’t listen to feedback and just rush it out the door.

That’s been a thing for so long now: you the only person playing your tribe? You want minions for it? Well, too bad!

Even setting a general tribe like “humanoid” would work. Just shows that common sense isn’t common, especially at actiblizz.

but they should nerf brukan one ASAP

Just got a gold Tarecgosa to just under 1 billion attack using Bru’kan. Would have been higher but I ran out of opponents.

The only part I’ve had a hard time with was letting go of my old strategies. Synergies are all changed and bottom of the barrel heroes are now viable options. There are obviously tiers but that’s the game now. Play the one that places you top 4 and when the draw is in your favour, eat their faces!

Try to have fun again and when it isn’t, take a break. Obnoxious, unsolicited advice but it’s still good.

The problem with the mode is getting the OP hero, if you don’t get one than just concede. Because you’ll run into one person who hit the RNG lotto and get destroyed.

So treat it as they built it . . . RNG casino game and hope you hit the jackpot.

I’m so annoyed why would they introduce such an unbalanced feature like buddies into battlegrounds? Keep it simple but interesting Blizz.

Why? For the same reason they introduced another Face hero in Standard, or turned a Control into a Face hero in Standard. For the same reason they power crept the game into a rush to kill the opponent with little to no strategy required. That reason; incompetence.

The current Hearthstone devs are bottom of the barrel hacks. The project lead is obviously an idiot.

They need to be removed asap.

It is so braindead how they implemented it.
The disparity between heroes is so high, everyone just play the same stupid overpowered thing.

And since you can just snowball by winning early, you basically know by turn 3 if you will be bottom 3 or top 3.
Just completely stupid

There are million threads with negative comments about how bad Hearthstone is. Question is do they even listening to our feedback? Not a single words by the devs yet!

I don’t know what buddies are, but I think Hearthstone is great. If halo is any indicator, Microsoft could really screw things up. Hopefully they learned something from that kerfuffle.

I’m going to take a hiatus, will be back once buddies are gone.

I agree, go back to the armor system

I like buddies… if you get the right one.

A lot of them feel like they were designed without consideration of the rest of them. Take Scabbs Cutterbutter for example. So many of the other buddies rely on a hero power that he can’t even use. So what’s he get most of the time? A gold? A full hand?

Also the health pools feel way too low.

Activizzard should go fornicate themselves with a hot pile of bovine fecal matter.

Came here to post – went up against Secrets guy towards the end of the game (3 players left). He had a triple of his buddy, triple bird, and triple Baron. For those who don’t know, the buddy’s death rattle is to put a secret onto the battlefield. With a bird triggering the death rattle (twice) and Baron triggering it 3 times (triple), I watched about 15 different actions on his strike each – give a minion 2/3, return a minion to life with 1 health, summon snakes, summon a cobra, etc. He kept getting a return minion to life so the bird would hit, die, then come back to life.

After combat was finally (and I mean finally) over, I had 18 seconds left in the recruit phase. Needless to say I couldn’t get a lot done in 18 seconds and promptly got routed by the 3rd player.

That was more frustrating to watch than the death rattle pirate/Eliza build. And that’s saying something.

They need to nerf a few things immediately:

  • Poison Murlocs are out of control again
  • Beasts are out of control again (especially with Arthas)
  • Bru’kan is absolutely and completely too powerful
  • There are more buddies than not, that need to have their tiers increased.

It’s really upsetting how polarizing this game mode is at the moment. Some games are over before 10 mana because someone high rolled a Sefin or Elementals.

You forgot:

  • Some buddies are utterly useless because they are not a tribe so take up a space that is quickly more valuable than their terrible ability.
*Almost every battlecry buddy is worse than every deathrattle buddy which are worse in turn than almost all the passive buddies. Exceptions are Ysera’s underwhelming +3/6 to dragons in tavern which by the time you GET the buddy leveled, is pointless, as dragons don’t cycle and Rat king’s which is useful for like… 4 rounds? Then you sell him…
*Illidans buddy is stupidly strong if he gets 2 of ANY buffable cleave/windfury minion.

Rewarding someone who is already winning seems like an evil data collection scheme. It’s like a human experiment simulating our current state of societal division i.e. some kid with rich folks gave him a 20 year financial head start above his “peers” and lets watch and learn how the working class kids endlessly fight to keep up when the game is eternally stacked against them.

The question is, is the data being used to widen the gap or to close it? My bet is it’s to widen the gap because no good ever comes from this kind of BS.

I’ve also noticed Blizzards side game of playing “keep away” is becoming more and more of an issue. It’s like, “oh you need a 3rd card, well lets just hide that one from you and show you only unrelated cards” so you waste your potential on refreshes.
