Honestly I was excited for this new expansion, looked like each class was getting a cool build around. New set drops and once again DH doing what DH does and just being the most unfun deck to play against. I know there are people who are like “WeLl JuSt LoOk At ThE wInRaTeS” and I understand how those work, but I have a question. Tell me the thematic reason DH gains about 50 or more armor per game, legit is unkillable, than procedes to hold you hostage for 40+ minutes til it decides after its KilJaden is at +40/+40 to finally exodar you to put you out of your misery. The play pattern is so unhealthy there is no way on either end of that deck that you could possibly be enjoying yourself.
the only decks I can think of that can compete is Suc DK or Hunter if it draws the nuts and thats just for the chance of winning. Deck runs about 6 full board wipes and has that stupid 3/4 taunt that everyone knows and loves so cant out aggro it, Kil plus exodar plus infinite armor means you cant win the control game, goodluck midrange players cube plus felhunter for huge walls.
Why is DH still even in the game the class is either broken af and feels unbeatable or is bottom tier garbage; I cannot remember a time where it sat in the middle. I can’t see myself playing this game until it gets hotfixed I no longer want to waste 40 mins of my time when I could just play any other card game.
Edit: I do not mean hopping into a game against DH only to concede, I am conceding the entire game to DH till it receives some sort of balancing

people complaining abot dh when all you need to do is finish them before they can spamm those 4 5 6 costs cards, skill issue if you lose to a dh when those hunter and priest decks are there

Skill requires knowledge and the ability to react – Of which is not doable if your card draw is garbage or you do not have the card(s) because of the deck you are playing.
You act like it is something skill and skill alone can handle when in reality it is 98% RNG in hoping you get the counter card(s) or the correct minions to beat them before they can get settled in.

Honestly in terms of online card games could argue that arena is better. The only issues I have with arena is the economy and the client is not as good as HS imo. Might even pick up the Bazaar despite the controversy’s still looks like a fun game.
In terms of card games in general still going to continue playing physical magic edh. could get into solitarie to feel like I am playing DH without wasting another persons time.

Yes mate, arena is so much fun for sure. I love facing red mice and mono black discard for 7 months straight. Or omniscience nerds that their turn takes up to 20 mins.
You contradict yourself by saying dh is solitaire and waste of people’s time, then call magic better while it is 10x times more uninteractive.
To be honest I wished for a slower meta. Game has been leaning that way and I am glad for it. Armor dh is not perfect, I wish for more variety and a buff on other emerald dream archetypes but I can finally play long games just like I wanted to. Far from solitaire since he is beatable, far from the best meta deck and you can interact with him on board no matter what.
If building 100 armor is the only way to have a game that can last more than 5 rounds, so be it. That means blizzard lost track of the aggro power.
You might not enjoy long games like these, but do you know what do I find a waste of time? Facing the same 2 aggro-toilet-break decks for 2 hours straight and being unable to go past the 5th round. Just like in magic. But I guess fun is subjective.
Cant talk about bazaar. Never tried it because I was not attracted by the weird artstyle.

I mean if you re read what I said, I said “you can ARGUE arena is better” .you asked for a card game alternative and I offered one. not gonna make you play into a meta/game you don’t enjoy just for the sake of playing a card game, I ain’t that die hard for either hearthstone or magic I just play when the gameplay loop is enjoyable which HS isn’t for me right now.
True DH does allow for longer games, but I’d argue you’re going to start seeing more aggressive aggro decks start appearing to try to counter it. Starting to see it with the menagerie decks popping up.
Also true fun is subjective and if you are right now in HS that’s great I ain’t going to say your wrong for that, but I do see a lot of people who are not enjoying the meta at this time myself included so I’m not going to force myself to play it when I’m not enjoying the time I’m putting into it.

Have you played for the past 5 years or not?
A solitaire deck that gets to free roll their deck, build up the otk with ZERO risk of anything scary ever happening and then kill you when it feels like it. Are you saying we wished for that for years?
Havent 64 damage astalor, infinite denathrius, garrote rogue and all of the other bs solitaire over the past years been enough? And you say we wished for this for years? Hello? What game have you been playing, because its not HS.

I call it HS devs don’t even play their own game. It only takes 1 game to see the problem with this deck.
Decks that stack up armor and launch a 4565 damage starship in opponents face i call otk deck. And the armor is the tool. What do you call it?
Do you also call garrote rogue a control deck because it has removal in it?
