So if I’ve lost by turn 4 and it’s blatantly obvious that I’ve lost, I can concede and lose my star rank. But the game doesn’t qualify towards the “play a game with x class” quest? Awful.
Play until you have passed turn 6 or your under 15 hp. It’s really not asking much.
Alas, the quest doesn’t read: Enter a match. Leave whenever. It probably has to do with them not wanting you to earn gold so easily. After all, gold is money lost for Activision-Blizzard.
It’s annoying because that’s exactly how it worked last expansion, and they stealth-nerfed it with no reaction.
It’s just a greedy move.
I will ensure I have done so in the future. But, for example, when quest rogue has all minions played and at 4/4 by turn 3 and you have nothing in your hand that is going to stop it, conceding should at that point be permitted and count.
If only the game could understand when a match is over, before it’s over, to allow for this.
I get it’s annoying, can’t say I’m completely up in arms over it either. 1 or 2 extra turns isn’t asking a lot from people. They could have made it way worse if they wanted to. Imagine no concede option period and you had to watch your demise to complete a quest.
I’d say that if the opponent’s board shows lethal, you should be able to concede and have it count for quest progress regardless of anything else.
In Casual anyway, you have to wait until turn 10. I know because I conceded on turn 9 in one game and it didn’t count for the daily quest.
They actually should make a quest like “concede 3 times”, 900 exp.
Why, though?
How do you know thats how it works??? ![]()
15 hp used to be the threshold, then they also made it turn 10 if you aren’t that damaged.
Sometimes it looks like you can concede when there’s lethal on the board, but that seems to just be input lag - they’ve already swung for lethal by the time you conceded if you get credit at that point unless the above criteria has already been met.
Warlocks and any class with weapons can concede early by suicide. As a 500-win warlock player, I can remember a few times when I knew I was going to lose with a Hellfire in hand. Then I just figured I’d try to burn it all.
But how people know that? xD Thats what I dont know, is it wrote some where???
Observation and experimentation over the years.
Oh I see… I just concede and hope for the best
How is that a greedy move? Waiting for a match just for your opponent to concede is just annoying. I’m glad it’s been implemented. Completing quests is really not that hard. Just play the game.
Are you so afraid of violence?
No, we want to earn gold easily
