HSReplay has the ability to show you a replay of your match, and it will show which cards your opponent had in their hand throughout the match if it ever gets to see what the card was. I think a neat new feature would be the option to concede, but show your full hand so any opponent playing with Hearthstone Deck Tracker can replay the match to see every move you made and why. It would be optional, of course, if you want to keep your (obvious-net-deck) secrets.
I think this is a nice idea.
Even I would not find it so strange that if you concede, then by default, the game burns your cards in front of you during the defeat animation.
Like, a new default feature.
I kind of like this just to show that the only reason your opponent won was because you had a dead hand.
Nah, I would like to see cards in hand revealed once the game ends, regardless of the result personally.
Only the real sweaties would be even remotely impacted by it, so make it happen!
When you fold in Poker, you have the option to show your hand. I figure it should at least be the same in HS.
I don’t see the point. You quit because you can’t see a path to victory given the game state and your hand. If you had the comeback pieces you would be playing them. It isn’t like cards are a mystery or even rng generation decks can give a bunch of dead cards. This seems like something for newer players who don’t know the cards in the set.
You don’t see the point in showing your hand when you fold in Poker? If so, then this thread isn’t relevant to you. Some people are just curious to know what the other person had in their hand.
This would be very useful when you rewatch a match you played.
Sometimes the opponent has a card in hand from the start and you will never know what it was; you can only assume it is denatrious
If you know this person and are going to be playing another game then maybe it makes sense - playing mind games for future bets/bluffs, or for fun story telling, boasting, banter. If you are playing poker online against strangers, you likely won’t see them again and if showing your hand is an option you know they are just trying to influence the way you think of them.
But hearthstone? Do I care that you had a bad hand? Do I care that you had a great hand and quit because IRL stuff? You are a name I won’t see again and won’t remember in 5 minutes. Showing hand will probably somehow turn into the bad manners of players with lethal just screwing around the winning turn showing the extra cards they had but didn’t need to use.
No. It’s ok that you don’t understand. Seeing the whole hand can help with strategizing, learning what might have happened, etc. It helps to understand why your opponent did what they did when they did. In the future, you may want to play as their class, so it helps to understand the moves they made.
Maybe you don’t want to be a better player, but there is a reason athletes re-watch videos of their matches.
I get it that you don’t get it, and that’s ok. There are plenty of other threads for you to hang out in.
Why would I want to help a stranger get better? Yeah you want to see, I don’t want you to see.
Also one of my earlier comments should have been replied to terrorizer.
