What kind of player are you? Do you stick it out, hoping for an unlikely win against an opponent who’s ahead in every way, or do you give up as soon as you’re fairly confident that you probably would have lost?
I phrase this question as an either/or, but I now it’s not like that. I don’t always concede if I think the opponent is going to kill me, but I do readily if I think the opponent has the possibility of doing it slowly and painfully. I get alarms going off in my head “EVEN IF YOU EVENTUALLY WIN, THIS GAME WILL END WITH YOU IN A BAD MOOD!!!” so I try to stop before I get to that point.
I always play until my opponent has lethal and I can’t answer it. At that point, I let them finish me, unless they start playing cards, in which case I concede. I know some disagree, because of quests and all, but IMO continuing to play cards when you have lethal on the board is rude.
As soon as I see the opponent has lethal and there’s nothing I can do about it…I wait to see if they realize they have lethal.
Once I realize they know they have lethal, I just concede on the spot unless I have a feeling they are completing some achievement or quest (like swinging the Sword of a Thousand Truths) then I let them lethal.
But more often than not, the opponent plays a bunch of cards without just doing lethal and I don’t want to wait for that so I just concede and emote Well Played and move on to the next match. I just have no patience.
I don’t have much free time and don’t play a lot, so i concede if i see that I’m losing.
I did let that warrior pump his Olgra to 25/27 or smth yesterday just to see how big it was gonna get. Dude was highrolling like jesus, i knew I’m done as early as turn two, after him dropping trogg and anima extractor.
If imp lock or aggro druid have early board on turn 3-4 which i know my deck can’t answer, i concede. If guff druid plays whelps and otters non stop, i know what’s coming, concede. I also auto concede vs quest priests, again, i don’t have time for that sht.
I’m playing for fun, but current HS does not allow for come backs, games are determined very early, so why waste time? Move on to the next match.
I concede against any druid it’s not possible to win alao against shamans, other than that I concede after turn 8 depending how it goes.
It’s fairly easy to see if you are able to win or not.
I concede in the exact same instance and for the same reasons as Schyla.
However, there have been a few rare occasions in which, for some reason or another, my opponent misses the lethal or they make a mis click, and I turn the game around. So I try not to concede unless I’m real sure I can’t win.
If i got time to spare i let em finish me even if they wanna play some more cards before finishing it. If i’m in a bit of a rush and they keep playing a bunch of cards instead of finishing it then i concede.
If they have lethal, and start trying to kill me, I just concede. If they emote, I concede. I am not going to sit around just so they can win. I quit the game and move on to the next one.
