@Drudatz: The error did not occur for me in NA, I logged in yesterday just after noon, saw the quest, but the event was not released yet. It is a bit unfortunate that everything is Americas-centric, and that these issues happen in Europe more (presumably Asia too), where timing can get different. However, being rude to Blizzard employees is not going to resolve anything. Keep in mind that they have acknowledged the issue (though only on Twitter so far AFAIK), and that the consequence of this issue is that you will get your 3 packs a bit later instead of yesterday.
So, yeah, it can be a wonder that “this dude” still works for Blizzard given the kind of toxic feedback they keep getting from people who are not happy about a glitch delaying their card opening fix. Be patient, and all will be well in the end.

Haha, I like the part “Please note, Customer Support is unable to assist with this issue”. I guess they’ve got swamped with bug reports, but what do you expect when you’re doing such elementary programming errors.

It’s not about when the problem will be solved, so much as the lack of service. A simple response like “We’re on that! Thanks for your patience” would at least give the illusion that they cared.

The toxic part I identified was when you implied the Blizzard employee should be fired for this oversight. Especially since there is no indication that the employee in question is responsible for that mistake.
You have a right to be critical, and certainly your point about communications I agree with. There are not enough official posts on the official forums. I had to dig to Twitter to find any kind of acknowledgement of the issue I could share with the group here, because I could not find anything in these forums, not in Reddit either. So, yes, this is sad, but this complaint should be directed at the company itself, not the employees who try to do the best they can with what they have.
