Clockwork Assistant bugged

I just played a game and my opponent drew and summoned the card " Clockwork Assistant " after playing Kazakusan.

It seems like spells are not working on it.

Firstly I used the paladin card “Righteous Defense” and it gave the stats to my minion, however, the Clockwork Assistant remains with 15/15 ( according to the description Righteous Defense should set the minions stats to 1/1.

I’ve even tried using the card " Equality " which was supposed to set all minions health to 1 and Clockwork Assistant still remained with the same stats 15/15.

This is working as intended. The Clockwork Assistant is buffed by an aura based on the amount of spells cast.

No shame in asking though, it pops up from time to time and is rather unintuitive when first encountering it.

It would be nice if it was written in the description like for the rest of the cards, but ok.

It is, “Has +1/+1 for each spell you’ve cast this game.”
This isn’t a Battlecry, but an Aura. Auras are reapplied after stat changes, similar to Stormwind Champion.
