Does anyone else agree that Team 5 has lost their way here?
I have no Secret deck worth playing, or even many Secrets that are worth 3 mana…
I have no Dragon deck worth playing.
(The new spell mage is very good, however.)
Go and click on any class portrait and see how closely the descriptions match what We actually have now.
Seems like team 5 needs to return to formula.
Have you read the others? I’m curious to know how far away from these descriptions the game has gotten.
But; I don’t think this applies just to Wild.
There hasn’t been an actual mage dragon deck in a long time.
Spell damage has come and gone, but Secrets, not so much.
Back in the day we had this:
Leeroy Jenkins created a strategy that revolved around trying to defeat your opponent in one turn without requiring any cards on the board. Fighting for board control and battles between minions make an overall game of Hearthstone more fun and compelling, but taking 20+ damage in one turn is not particularly fun or interactive.
Now a days just about every deck can do 20+ damage in one turn without requiring any cards on the board.
Ok. I’m not sure what hat has to do with the class descriptions when you click on portraits, but I think We can all agree that the game has changed significantly in ten years.
However;
I still think that the descriptions should be adhered to as much as possible.
Otherwise; what game are We even playing?
Hearthstone as conceived had diversity, and something for everyone.
I don’t think it’s unfair to say that homogenization has stripped away a great deal of the original flavor.
Edit: I just read Warlock.
“Sacrifice Life Essence for power to overwhelm your opponents.”
“Strengths: Demons, Card Draw, Minion Swarms.
Weaknesses: Direct Damage and minion buffs.”
So, Warlock has direct damage and it has minion buffs.
It also has an obscene amount of healing.
Mall sure loves to complain a lot but lets not pretend that Mage is the class with the least meta tyrant tier 1 decks in over 10 years.
Lets also not pretend that Mage doesnt see balance changes regardless of tier having decks in the tier 4 ranks eating nerfs…
But sure lets all deflect with BS with 0 logic talking about tiers ,yikes.
Any other class needs to be quiet(besides Priest) when they talk about tier SSS or whatever nonsense.
It says: “Challenging to build and pilot decks.”
Guess it was meant for advanced players?
Strengths are undead corpses, minion swarms, healing.
And yeah, no weaknesses are listed.
They still apply for me, i see i bigger problem is that they apply better to other classes now.
Mage was the Champ in Spell damage ( no longer), we had the best board clears by far( now we dont by alot) we also had the best Secret tech in the game ( and we dont anymore because they keep eating nerfs).
We still have the best spells in the game so hurray for that( even if sometimes other classes use them better).
This all came to be i think because of the minority loud voices that cry day and night over the class, the devs in this game are terrified to make a meta tryrant Mage deck not only because it will see 50% play rates but also because they the lunatics that cant stand the class with never forgive them.
Well, I only spoke from mage because it’s what I play.
IDK why that offends some people to a point that they have to lie and make false presumptions about my motivations.
The class descriptions really don’t seem to match what classes have anymore.
I mean; when was the last time a Dragon deck even worked in mage?
I honestly don’t remember.
But you are right. We currently have a very good spell deck.
