Class bleed.. I hate it

I doubt anyone dislikes class bleed as much as I do.
This game used to have diversity in decks and classes.
Now all We have are rehashed playstyles shoved into classes that have nothing to do with the mechanics they have been given.
If this is what We can expect in terms of creativity from the geniuses at Team 5, then might as well admit they have no creativity left.
This game is more felt up than the heel from a loaf of bread.

Let me guess: you lost to a Rogue.

I haven’t lost outright. I have quit three times facing frost dk because it is reheated freeze mage.
Which they also copied last expansion for shaman.
I remember when every class had clear strengths and weaknesses, and each played it’s own unique style. Not now…

Eh, you’ll get used to it. I lost to a Rogue who played the Priest Colossal and the Shaman that summons 3 copies of a minion on the same turn. My reaction was “Hahahahaha. Only in Hearthstone.”
Who knows, maybe in the future Blizzard will start nerfing cards from other classes because they’re too powerful when Rogue or Mage plays them.

I hate Neptulon as well. Colossals are why I left Standard and only came back this expansion.

at least he makes one thread to complain about losing once in a while not like that other guy who makes several threads on the community forums to complain about a single card on each thread

I also hate the bleed because it is intended as a one way cross over, like objection to rogue with the replay synergy.

It was the same thing with the original cross class stuff. One way advantages intended to make up for one class’ weaknesses.

I also really hate the 4 cost naga that gives a 3 cost spell, this is another catch all value generator that has been, and continues to be used in so many decks.

it was a fun experiment in Scholomance with dual-class, but now it really does feel like they just make a bunch of similar cards for each class & call it “balanced.”
it’s like, here, everybody have some armor cards & then, everybody have some copy cards, etc.

It takes away some of the consequence when choosing a class and a deck. There is less cost for committing. Your choices don’t have as much meaning. Its an entitled way of creating cards and decks. As much as people like to talk about class identity (example is one who mains a Rogue), the actual class is losing its identity. They are becoming more name differences only and less difference in playstyle. Id say its not as much a reflection on the developers as it is the player base that wants it all in one package.

I’m not sure what example you’re thinking of, but frost DK having freeze totally fits their theme. It’s literally in the name of their rune. Northrend with all the ice and stuff is part of the lore associated with the class.

Shamans also technically had frost shock since classic, so freezing effects isn’t unreasonable. Ice/water is part of the elements so lore wise it fits too. One could argue shaman should have complained how long it took for freeze shaman to be a viable thing.

Mechanically in HS they all use “freeze” and that may feel too similar, but the thing is… HS isn’t exactly a game full of different effects to split between all the classes. If you compare to say WoW, freeze isn’t the only form of crowd control. There are also slows, snares, blinds, sleep, poly (which is slightly different from holy transformation effects work in HS), etc.

Other aspects of the game are also simple when compared to WoW. In WoW “buffs” and “debuffs” aren’t the same thing, and there may even be different categories of them (e.g curses and poisons are different types of debuffs, and there are abilities that remove one but not the other). In HS everything ends up being text, and everything can be removed with a single keyword silence.

I suspect the simplicity of HS was intentional, and also part of its success. The game was and probably still is made for casuals who wanted to kill 10-15 minutes while on their phone waiting in line or on the bus.

I recommend that you research what you want to say before you write it.

There’s merit in what you say, but there’s a lot of errors.

Last expansion Shaman had Evolve and Totems.

You might remember how Even Shaman in Wild came back last expansion, with the new totem support cards.

Additionally, spamming buzzwords and catchphrases isn’t helping you. It’s not a class “bleed” issue with DK, because there was no DK class at all prior to this expansion for DK to have changed from a previously established DK play style.

What you have right is that DK is using a bunch of repackaged play styles. Unholy DK is basically Murloc Shaman but with Undead, Frost DK is Frost Mage, and Blood DK is Control Priest.

I am having a very hard time seeing anything new and unique from DK, except the Rune system which makes Discover be like Thief Rogue in the sense that you often Discover cards from other Runes you can’t put into your deck.

The question is…

What type of homeless reprobate would even play neptulon priest? If one has self respect, then one would never play it.

You just described the entire game right now.
Team 5 does not appear to have any new ideas at all.

I bet whatever message you want to get across would be a lot better received if you added a little more courtesy and a-lot less arrogance. Im sure you think you have a-lot of valuable information to give people but when you talk down to them like an arrogant POS your information is kind of wasted. I have no clue where you learned that being an arrogant little troll was the way to talk to people but it was wrong.

I don’t understand what you mean.

I don’t really understand the concept of arrogance very well.

I looked at Miriam-Webster: An exaggerated sense of self importance that shows itself by making excessive or unjustified claims.

It’s actually hilarious, now that I think about it.

I am trying to help Mallenroh’s communicate his claims WITHOUT making excessive or unjustified claims.

And you call me arrogant.

I think Marco and I communicate pretty well. I appreciate the defense, but accuracy, as well as clarity, are things We should all strive for…

I am not above criticism.

But “arrogance” wasn’t appropriate for the situation.

If RayRay has criticism for me that actually mapped to something I can do better, I welcome it.

RayRay, I am not trolling, I really mean it. I need all the help I can get.

Other classes have had, and are allowed to have freeze effects and burn effects. Frost DK other than that it has freeze and burn doesn’t even play that similarly to any version of freeze mage that’s ever existed really.
