City chief Esho’s effect doesn’t work with Draenei tribe

When deck meets specific requirements for city chief esho’s effect nothing happens. I have tested with Murlocs, beasts,and undead decks and they work fine. It seems issue is only with the Draenei tribe.

Steps to re-create:
Load hearthstone
Enter my collection
Build deck with minions with only the Draenei tribe tag and with esho in deck.
Load into standard or wild
Play game and play Esho
Effect will not trigger.

Could it be that you put a non draenei minion in your deck during the game ? With a dark gift for example ?

Every time I re created the issue I made sure that the list above only had Draenei minions.

The list ok but what about during the game ?
Esho doesn’t check the deck you started with, but the deck you currently play.
So if a non draenei is put in your deck during the game, it won’t work.
Even if you generate a second Esho while yours is in your deck, it won’t work

Just tried again without shuffling anything into the deck and it still doesn’t work

I tested it without the amalgams in the deck and it still doesn’t work so it’s not related to them having multiple types.

@Ginger I feel like that shouldn’t matter because they have all types… When using mace and other Draenei effects they are noticed as Draenei.

It shouldn’t. But as a software dev I’ve learned that things which shouldn’t matter sometimes do. So I tested. :slight_smile:

I’ve tried it three times with it not working for Draenei now, before I found this post.

So yeah, it’s not working for Draenei, I hope they know about it , and fix it soon, cause I want to try in this specific deck

I can also confirm that the interaction between City Chief Esho and Dreanai seems not to be working.
Just tested it with a pure Drenai Deck on Priest and Esho being the only neutral also no shuffels and no "All-"type Minions.
I had the signature Galactic Crusader in the deck but that should not be a problem.
I wanted to make a bug report for myself but that seems redundant. So I wanted to confirm on this post.
