Im a 40 something casual.
I play hearthstone when i poop: on a dedicated iPad dedicated for just pooping and playing hearthstone every morning as a routine. I also play a priest almost exclusively on Standard, still have yet to ever hit legendary but have close to 5.5k wins playing off meta and anti-meta builds.
I didn’t know the miniset was coming out and the new questline came out to pick the 3 Starcraft factions. I had to pick one but I have no idea what Terran or Protoss is. I never played a game of Starcraft in my life. Just Warcraft/Diablo/Wow
As an OUTSIDER of Starcraft:
To me, Kerrigan is the ice skating lady who screamed “Whyyy” when getting attacked by Tonya Harding all over the news when I was a kid, and Jim Raynor I have no idea why hes affialiated with Shamans and his name sounds like a politician.
I also had no idea that “Terran” cards was limited to Warrior/ Paladin/ Shaman.
So Im stuck with a quest chain to play 200 Terran minions.
I bought the MiniSet.
I thought I’ll just make a warrior deck fo all “terran” cards and just play it in wild or casual. 10 minutes later thats 5/200. Aint nobody got time for that! That would probably take many unfun hours for a reward I probably won’t use.
All I ask is if you make us choose a campaign… DEEPLY EXPLAIN IT first and give us a confirmation screen, or Let us change the campaign and lose quest status and let it reset.
I’ve probably cloned and played 200 protoss cards on priest already while getting my butt handed to me by Death Knight-Kerrigans turn 7 Zerglings.
This time around I will be sitting out on the rewards. Im sure alot of other people did the same thing. Its not really a big deal but its a quality of life thing.
if anything I learned some stuff about Starcraft more than its just “Warcraft 2 in Space” that South Koreans take very seriously. So i dont mind the crossovers. If you ever do a Diablo one though, please include a Diablo Card. Because Id really like to fight or play as him in this lifetime since we will never see him in D4
