The Cheat Death secret seems to imply that if a minion dies then it will trigger and return the minion to your hand and lower it’s cost by 2.
As far as I’ve been able to tell it actually triggers when a minion is killed rather than just when it dies.
For example I tried to couple this secret with Scourge Rager, whose battle cry is literally “Die.” and the secret does not trigger on its death.
your secrets cannot trigger on your turn. that’s why that doesn’t work. it isn’t a bug. good gaming to you.

Back in the day, Secrets actually could trigger on your own turn, but they changed that a long time ago.
