I play a lot of games like HearthStone and Magic and all of them have something like charge or haste, usually in this kind of game don’t have a problem if a creature, minion be able to attack in the same turn is played but this should never exists in HearthStone because you can’t act in opponent turn, if I can leave a 1 mana free and be able to kill Leeroy with 1 mana spell in opponent turn the card never will be a problem and probably never need to be nerfed in the first place.
But when you can’t act in opponent turn the charge mechanic is overpowered and need to be erradicated from the Standard, or even to the game, and change all charge minions to rush ones.
Why this never happen with so many nerfs in charge minions needed to be done in so many occasions? Just delete the problematic keyword from the existence and all be fine.

It’s pretty lame if you’ve played Magic, then experience something like this in HS.
Charge is annoying. It’s constantly removed overtime yet some cards for whatever reason get special treatment. Like King Krush is kinda fine… Doomguard got HoF’d so that was nice as opposed to getting f’d.
But what about Leeroy an Deckhand? Or Stonetusk Boar an Bluefin? Some of them feel great for flavor, but I’m very positive these cards hinder future things they wanna add to the game.

Problematic?
Have you guys heard of teching?
There’s like 2 worthwhile Charge cards left in Standard.
Charge is not being touched.

When they release a minion 2 manas 2/3 battlecry “For the rest of the game all charge minions are rush ones” we can talk about tech, taunt is a pretty weak tech vs charge because the opponent can remove the taunt and charge (and bounce the charge) and you can’t do anything about it.
It’d be amazing if, just a thought, there was some sort of Universal taunt AND healing card…
oh wait. There is.
The opponent can do anything. But Aggro isn’t really running much tech against Taunts. Somebody’s mad they lost to Leeroy instead of playing around him.

Charge can tech against taunts with silence.
How do you tech against silence? or against a charge minion in hand?
Can we stop crying about leeroy people?
I swear one person brought it up and now everyone’s jumping on the nerf leeroy bandwagon when they lose a game.
He’s a great card that enables a lot of fun archetypes, unless you like 30 min control games every game.

I never liked charge in this game. It always leads to cheesy losses. It is hardly ever used to interact with the board. It just goes face.
Silence how? Not every class can just do that. Not every Aggro deck wants to run Spellbreaker.
OP sucks and died to Face Hunter.

whaaaaaaat ?? i hate this " tech you can interact with to counter it isnt a real tech " mentality
I mean, I would rather have them remove faceless manipulator over leeroy right now…
Every class can silence.
And the aggro decks that don’t want to run silence are the ones complaining about taunts and priests.
Silence is a necessary tech card that people don’t want to run. If I am playing against a hunter and I lose, it’s generally because they are running silence.

Hmm… How about we, like, don’t?
Cos it’s unnecessary.

Aggro decks will, at most, run one silence.
Case and point, if you can’t get over that, you’re not playing the game well and you’re not a good player. Period.
And what about spells like Fireball? YOu can finish people also with this.
Im with you regarding charge for the majority. But in some classes like Rogue. A Charge minion like leeroy is important to be able to finish and close the game.
Its not as easy as you think
“Charge is bad for the game”.
- Prints a 7 Mana 2/4 that defecates an 8/8 with Charge.
I wonder if Leeroy was even the point of this thread.
All I see sometimes is devs with some hiccup level of decisions.
I hate when I can’t defend my myself during opponents turn, it’s so annoying!!. It would be so different if I could, I wouldn’t be losing to these Chewbacca players.
But usually there is a critical point in the game when I am facing an aggro deck where I think, “Boy, I hope he doesn’t have silence.” Usually they don’t but you could see how that greatly helpful. Pretty good shot of drawing your silence by turn 5 or 6. Especially if you run 2.
I’m quite tired of the rush cards personally. Sure getting leeroy’d can be annoying…but the new rush cards are much more annoying to me.
No Aggro deck runs x2 of silence.
Also have you guys tried using more than one taunt?
