Charge and Handbuff

Paladin had their fun remove Leeroy and the Pirate again. Handbuff Paladin is the most oppressive deck, that scamms victories out of nowhere. Why give them Charge? How biased is Blizzard to not even slightly touch a single card like the weapon from that deck. The upcoming nerfs are pathetic before they even reveal what they are.

just remove charge from the game, its outdated ability.

strange they are printing a new “charge” card in the next set… must be less outdated then you think

Strange indeed.

Rush was created in the aftermath of the damage caused by rampant charge minions, but I fear they have forgotten the lessons of the past.

I mean, it is broken, but it’s not out of nowhere, lol

Just count the buffs and you should be able to know their max reach to play around it

If you can’t play around it and still win, don’t play around it and hope for the best

You can’t do much against it, but you don’t really have to - the deck is so one-dimensional and boring, that despite how broken it is, people just don’t play it.

They can’t remove Charge now because it is the only way how the Paladin can win and they want that… obvious because they killed every other strategy… and will be even more dead after the new expansion… just check on the new card list… they make it more impossible for Paladin to win with anything else because slower and board based decks will getting more AOE dmg and even face… Charge is the only option left for Paladin… They didn’t reveal the new Paladin cards yet but I already suspect it will be based on the Sunscreen spells and it will be completely useless like Earthen was because of it’s bad design and too many AOE user meta. Earthen could be a very good strategy too they just missed one thing to make it work properly… Golems should have taunt because they are too slow and it was impossible to make them work like this against a lot of strategies… Sunscreen will be the same I am affraid… they create a buff strategy in a meta where it will be impossible to win with board based decks even more like now… and it is already almoast impossible since Reno madness and other removers… I am affraid only hand buff Paladin will survive in these conditions… and only by using Charge… I can’t see any other options because to make Sunscreen a better strategy than hand buff… Paladin would need a lot of it and use it up for 0 mana in one turn… I think it won’t be more effective than handbuff… smells like more bad desing… but maybe I am wrong… I hope I am…

Remove Taunts instead, I can’t go face with my Charge Minions.

and yet Blizzard is focusing on reno, virus and celestial instead of looking into handbuff pally. :man_facepalming:

“It takes no effort, is really easy to pull off and wins you the game from hand but have you thought about playing around it.”

God they could give Paladin a 30/30 minion with charge and people would still say “just play around it”, oh wait they did.

Charge has just as much of a place in game as spells, weapons, battlecries (a much bigger category that has done a lot more than simply killing people in HS history), etc. all of which can also kill people from hand.

To single out charge is just your personal bias.

If anything, charge needs to stay in the game to counteract all the possible late game greed that the game keeps producing power creep after power creep.

The alternative is unnerfing/buff decks like window shopper DH or token hunter or flood pally where instead of hitting you with a single 30 damage charge after taking many turns buffing them up, they’re chewing your face up from turn 1 with zerg of minions and direct face damage. Oh none of them hit for 30 individually, but they add up, often much quicker. Paladin has board on turn 4? Aura aura ora ora ora ora ora ORA!

My problem is not charge itself, even tho there is a reason why they replaced it with rush, my problem is having handbuff Paladin stronger than ever and giving it a cheap out. Its completely joyless to play against and instead of having Paladin oppressingly strong, you could you know actually fix those “late game greed”. We all know that late game greed currently is just Warrior, nobody likes playing against them because they give them the dumbest card texts. I’ll die on the hill that they should have never bother with “for the rest of the game” effects and cards like Hellya, Odyn and Brann need to be reworked.

Wut? Warrior is the only late game greed deck? What about Priest? What about Druid?

I had this warlock use this extremely overpowered card called Stonetusk Boar it’s a 1 mana 15/15 with charge, completely ridiculous oh yeah they get to copy it too with this card called Reverebeberartitions
