I think this card and the Undead synergy with the board extras is very poorly designed.

First of all, you have to lose hundreds of damage and multiple undead tokens for the benefit that is not even comparable to most synergies in the game.

Secondly, it does not even benefit your perma stats, only what is on the board, so it does not benefit the undead synergy that much.

Also, tier 5 for it is way too late, you will be fighting 500/500 minions by that time, and you gona sacrafice 200 damage of undead for +10/+10 that is not even for revive tokens?

I have seen the full Undead synergy with it and other similar cards, it really does not work that well

All of the cards that work off of excess summons are bad. There’s NEVER a time where it’s not more stat efficient to just play for correct board space. Going for more of a girthy setup is also just objectively worse unless you hit the right golden cards because it at least requires golden baron and golden cabra. They need to scrap the concept next time around. The way undead played last patch was pretty peak tbh (Rip nightbane).

Agreed on all points brought up so far.

Normally I’d argue that it’s “okay” to have some weaker options, but HS has been a powercreep game for years now. I don’t necessarily have a problem with that either, as long as the classes I enjoy are at-or-near the top :smile:

But the point is, you can’t create “intentionally weak(er)” packages if your entire design philosophy is “we need fast and flashy to compete with mobile.” At best it just becomes an inconvenience to cycle through while trying to get the good stuff. At worst it actively alienates your players because “well this is all that’s popping up in the shop and I need SOMETHING” and then they lose, feel maldy, and quit your game.

Yeah, I played with this the first time yesterday and immediately said “this is terrible”.

All the board buffs based on max minions are terribly designed. You lose more stats by not having them summoned. At least make it so it gains their max stats permanently or something.

Undead already scale terribly.

they scale as top heavy nukes that punish builds that also go top heavy. They can’t have KT put them to extremely high damage while also having HP. Even anub’arak dry with a prosthetic arm allows for good damage at that point you acquire it

Even if you have your undead at like +50 damage, it’s nothing when the opponent has 1500/1500 minions.

There should be an Undead with "At the end of your turn, gain ‘Deathrattle: Summon a 1/1 Skeleton.’ "

Maybe a Skeleton with more stats and/or Reborn.

If they are not going to address the fact that many lobbies have opponents with boards scaling 20+/20+ per minion on turn 8. At the VERY least they should all be dropped one tier to even be viable. There should also be a clause on the undead that resummon that the original minion comes back into play before the summons do. It’s the only way to make them work correctly and scale to a level that is appropriate.
