Carry-on Grub × Customs Enforcer bug

I played Carry-on Grub followed by Carry-on Suitcase, so the 2 cards are in my hands.

Opponent played Customs Enforcer.

The 2 cards, 1 didn’t start in my deck and 1 actually did, but both were considered as didn’t start in my deck.

I believe the cards from the Suitcase count as new cards.

The Grub consumes two cards from your deck, and then the Suitcase gives you new copies of those cards. They are not the actual same original cards. They are copies.

But the descriptions of Carry-on Grub and Suitcase do not mention anything about “copy/copies”. It’s like the 2 actual cards/objects.

Cards don’t always say all the exact details of how they work.

Fair enough if you think Carry-on Grub/Suitcase do the copying/duplication.

I still think Carry-on Grub/Suitcase, “pack” the top 2 cards… = “moving” the same cards/objects, instead of doing any copying/duplications.

Cheers.

Since you could theorically duplicate cards by getting copies of the suitcase or doubling its cast, you could not have 2 instances of the same card being the original, thus none is the original, technically speaking

Derkan, ok, I see that you bring up a good point.

For “getting copies of the suitcase”, i would lean to think, the original suitcase contains the original cards, while the duplicated suitcase contains the duplicated cards as well.

But for “double cast”, ok I see where the complication is.

You might be able to test this yourself.

Next time you play a card that came out of the Suitcase, look at the play history log and see if that card said “created by carry-on suitcase”.

If so, then it is certainly a copy of the original.

The thing is that the game will not treat a copy of a suitcase differently as the original suitcase regarding to what cards it’s giving
The copy will give the exact same cards that were in the original, so the cards generated by the original suitcase and the cards generated by the copy can’t behave differently
