Now that we’ve all had a chance to tool around in beta I’m wondering what existing cards might be fun to have rotate in going forward.
Personally I’d like some of the hero power interacting cards make an appearance, cause it would make some heroes way more viable. If they’re bringing in Dragons, Coldarra Drake would be interesting, but the secret hero would have to go, since 5 secrets is probably too much.
Blackwald pixie might be a good tier 2 minion. The stats are good enough for it to be a midgame bridge card if you have a strong hero power (like Ragnaros). And you could take it late game and sell it to get the effect.
Demons need some help, so I’d say doubling imp would be a good tier 3-4 that would be a very strong addition. So would something that discovers a demon.
I also think a few armor adding cards might be an interesting addition to the mix. Looking at things like eternium Rover or armorsmith.
I also like the idea of some handbuff cards. They idea is that they would reward strategy of not just dumping your hand every turn, but maybe buying some minions and buffing them. Obviously that runs the risk of taking a big loss.
Also with the Dragons, supposedly they are adding some, but I’m wondering what they could possibly put in that would work. Most don’t translate well into Battlegrounds format. Thoughts?
Despicable dreadlord, would make demons viable.

Adding armor would definitely be interesting!
I’d like to see them add dragons, elementals and pirates.
Dragons are reportedly coming so that’s a great start
They’d likely have to switch some factions out to accommodate but that wouldn’t be so bad and could help keep things fresh.
Definitely Doubling Imp and Void Terror. Argent Protector, maybe Grimestreet Protector at 6. Fungalmancer, Don Han’Cho, Addled Grizzly, Glowstone Technician, Mukla’s Champion, Boisterous Bard for a few ideas.
Raw stat buffs might be problematic, so can’t say all of these would work, but the idea is to have more decent picks in the tier pools, so if you don’t find synergy you can at least grab something reasonable. Currently you can go multiple rolls and just see unusable rubbish.
I think moving away from tribe based buffs would definitely make the game feel more balanced and less highrolly. So yeah, fungalmancer would be great, I’m addition yp handbuff cards.
Reno Jackson. (This is a joke.)
How would that work, at the start of every turn deal 1 damage? I don’t think they want card text that is specific to battlegroungd though.
Water Elemental. Would love to see how its mechanic works out.

I think they already said they are going to design mode specific cards. And that card doesn’t need that much change to work with bg.

I also think some stealth minions (like that mech) could make things interesting.
We need a minion that gives you a spell when played, which does direct damage to Bob.
Stealth don’t work in BG due to auto targeting. It’s like forgetful in the main game, target is chosen randomly regardless stealth or not. Maybe minions with text like cannot be targeted until there is X minions on board is more possible as a custom BG card.
Well, in hs you can’t attack stealthed unit, so bg might just have that as well: can not be attacked(targeted) while stealthed. I mean attacks are random, but who said they are not targetable right? You just can’t control them but ai targets them.
So stealth might easily work in bg. Other thing though, if there are gonna be stealth givers it might potentially make some strats imbalanced. Just give mama bear stealth to guarantee all the buffs… So I am not that sure its a good mechanic for bg.
What would be the point of stealth if they can be targeted by random attacks?
In the main game, any random targeting bypass stealth. So it kinda change things up a bit using such a keyword. I get the idea though just not the choice of word.
Read stealth description ingame: “Can’t be attacked or targeted until it attacks” - what doesnt work here? Perfectly fine text for bg.
If you know this mechanics call forgetful (50% to attack the wrong minion), it hits stealth regardless. Misdirection too. Basically once targeting is random, stealth no longer works.
