This is still occurring, anyone have a fix yet? I got the murloc hideaway board today and it still does not allow you to set it as favorite or enable in any way.
Same here. How can they not fix this?
I submitted a ticket and received this response:
This issue is currently planned to be fixed with Patch 28.4. While Customer Support cannot provide the release date of future patches, please keep an eye on our official blogs and social media channels for announcements from our developers.
Ridiculous that they let me spend real money to buy it knowing I cannot actually use it until this is patched. As of this post the live game is currently 28.2 
Update: they fixed it, which is rad.
