it seems that for some reason I cannot craft golden Sire Denathrius. I am able to pick it from the menu but the area with dust cost is empty and I am unable to craft it.

Same for me! I have the normal one, but it says “Uncraftable” and “This card cannot be disenchanted or crafted” and the “buttons” are gone. But as soon as you 3200 or more dust, you will be able to craft the golden one.

This is a bug, as it should be upgradeable for the dust cost.
Also, if you have sire already, the achievement should give you the golden copy because of this issue.
Came here to post this very issue, and saw op’s topic.
You can’t upgrade uncraftable cards to their golden versions, as you didn’t open or have to spend dust to get them. You have to make the golden version from scratch.
Hence the issue.

Hence the reason this needs to be fixed, to be in line with the normal upgrades, or an unlock.
That’s not an issue. It’s a feature. It can’t be the same as normal upgrades because you don’t get the card through normal means. It’s the same with C’thun or other cards you got for free. The golden card costs 3200 no matter what, whether the first 1600 was through a pack opening or through crafting. Because free legendaries are not either of those methods, it makes sense that the only way you can get the golden version [aside from another special condition] is to craft it from scratch.

less so than the actual upgrade process, or awarding them through a means that doesn’t charge the old system prices.
lol you’re literally just being contrarian because you really want the game to be exactly the way you want even though it already makes sense. This isn’t gonna change, so just keep complaining.

So if we upgrade a uncraftable card to golden the result should be craftable or uncraftable ??
If the answer is uncraftable there will be people cry they can’t get dust back.
If the answer is craftable blizzard should add extra code becouse later the dust is not half but less than half ( or full and less than full on nerfs), or they should implement a downgrade but is same as dusting.
And if you make uncraftable cards upgradable and dustable for full/half value , the tag uncraftable make no sense anymore becouse you avoid the limitation.
So what they do now i think is not a bug but a decision.
