I used a credit to start a brawlism, thinking I could craft a basic pain lock, but 90 percent of cards I want for this basic deck are not allowed in that format.
What gives? Do they only allow cards you obtain by prebuying the whole expansion for a huge sum of money?
Is this just a straight up money grab? In the past there was a lot more freedom to craft decks with only a few cards from the new set and a large base of existing cards if you are f2p, but this seems to have been thrown out the window?
Yes you can compete with only The Great Dark Beyond cards, there are deck lists out there.
How is that possible? For example, all the cards for protoss rogue seem to be missing?
You can’t use the mini-set though
In this second iteration of the Pre-Release Tavern Brawl, we are adjusting the eligible card pool to be the Core Set (pre-rotation), the Event Set (pre-rotation), The Great Dark Beyond (without the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set), and Into the Emerald Dream.
I think your best bet would be draenei warrior if you dont have any of the new cards. From what ive seen its quite good and plays not a single new card

I see a lot of people using decks that don’t have any new cards. I believe Zeddy posted a list with aggro DH that works fairly well.

Play libram, with Liadrin, and a couple of Crusader Aura and flooding cards.
