Atleast till ya fix Druid cuz I love not having mana
As a Druid main I support this.
I used to think it wasn’t problematic, back when I was first coming back into HS a few months ago. Allow me to formally and publicly admit I was wrong. This card is just too good.
Doomkin is fine, really bored of these druid nerf threads xd
In that case, Doomkin will remain.
it was nerfed even if you make the mistake of not killing dorian when they drop it while at 4 mana and use florist to draw it on their next turn
because of the mana cost change they no longer can play original and copy for 6 mana
Not sure why people have mains (it’s not World of Wacraft where it’s hard to switch class) but I digress for now.
May I ask at what ranks you see that and if your rank is high: is your win rate ~50% (low MMR)?
Because I filter the meta stats in various ways and that deck is OBVIOYSLY not even near top 5.
It’s start of reset and I’m about gold now after a few games and 5 ramp druids in a row I beat 3 of them but I had to highroll pretty hard as a DK to beat it
This game is so far gone they might as well buff doomkin to be a 2 mana 5/5. It wont make a lick of difference if doomkin is around not with all the nonsense in the game today.
Druids have to highroll in order to survive against much FASTER decks; that’s because their defense up to the point of having 10 mana is very thin; they rely on having various of their dragons available and a couple of bad draws are enough to kill them.
Also Doomkin is EXTREMELY expensive for that purpose of early defense; I was just goofing around with the Marin quest; I legitimately think Zola and Projectionists might be better and I only did it for the quest (they can replay some mana ramp!).

Because it was already a bad curve against fast decks. Now it’s even more a card that needs you to not be in danger by an aggro developed board. And if we take it by pure math alone: you don’t lose just 1 mana: you lose 3 per card because you would have 1 extra mana 1 round earlier and the opponent -1 mana 1 round earlier and multiply that by 2 Doomkins the deck basically loses 6 mana.
The sustain of Druid has to be nerfed before anything. It is pointless to deal damage aginst Druid.
Only after they get 8-10 mana. The easiest way to kill those druids is to be a generally fast deck. Maybe they are good against something simplistic like a flood paladin; their swipe isn’t a highroll; but they usually have to highroll to survive the best fast decks.
Cool had another game they super ramped double doomkin turn 5 I’m at 3 mana they at 11 cool.

They should just rework him into something like 3-mana 3/4 choose one: both players gain a mana crystal or both players lose a mana crystal
Might as well ask to delete the card from the pool.
I think that it would make it a lot more interesting, certainly a lot more than the current autopilot pattern of druid decks. And maybe it could really become a dual class card.
Even with nerf keeping my opponent at 4 manna while I past 7. I had 2 Doomkin in my hand and play one after the other steal 2 manna from opponent in 2 turns. It’s not hard pulling it off ether with the ramp Druid has in dragon deck.
