Can we get a control counter for Tickatus?

Or just a neutral “Shuffle a copy of your starting deck into your deck”?

Tickatus just auto-wins too many games.

Elyssiana is the closest.

Alternatively you can run infinite value engines like priest galakrond or Rustwix.

The new free legendary from Barrens can gust it out of their hand. Shadow Hunter Vol’jin. Play it the turn after they play something higher than 6 mana cost.

There already is, it’s called any deck that isn’t a super greedy control deck!

Most of them hold out for felosophy before the reveal.

Keep spreading that lie. If any deck is greedy it’s aggro.

Not sure you know how greedy is defined in a card game…

Mage doesn’t need a deck to get more spells. Priest has ways to generate extra spells and minions. Both classes can erase the 8/8 at that point in the game. Discovering or getting a few random spells or minions isn’t a direct counter, but it can help.

Cool and what can the other classes do once Elyissa rotates out against that?

Oh that’s right, just instantly concede! Which is exactly what you and the rest of the forum want, for some reason.

There are still 3 weeks until Elysiana rotates. And even then, in Forged in Barrens I believe they will print more support for shuffling.

Kinda doubt it, they’ve said one of their goals is to reduce the amounts of bottomless value decks.

Honestly, making Tickatus destroy 3 cards instead of 5 wouldn’t kill the card and would make a big difference for more value-oriented decks.

Greedy means stockpiling resources in your hand rather than playing resources on the board and contesting your opponent.

Aggro is the exact opposite of greedy.

Seriously, you don’t need Elysiana. Just run some early-mid game that forces your opponent to use his cards instead of just tapping 7 times.

Your “control” counter to Tickatus is Ramp Druid only.

Can’t play Tickatus safely if the opponent is 5 mana crystals ahead of you and playing fat stuff every turn.

I think the devs should gimp Warlock’s removal a tad so Midrange can prey on Tickatus memes too and playing both Tickatus and Disaster on turn 10 is literally impossible.

You dirty rat, i mean, shadow Hunter vol’jin their Tickatus?

Maybe Hecklebot It?

Where did you get that idea? A counter card was asked for. A counter card was given. When I play control warlock I play Rustwix, not Ticketus. If we go to fatigue it’s because my opponent was able to deal with the first stream of primes. Here come 5 more.

Rather than complaining, post your deck. Get advice. Take it. Ticketus warlock has a horrible win rate at all ranks, including vs other (non-priest) control decks. Clearly it can be beat.

If you’re at all familiar with my posts you’ll know I don’t like to say “get good.” In this case it’s warranted.

To be fair Tickatus is horrible right now because a huge amount of burn and face jamming tools are still in the game.

That burn is being removed with the new core set and Hearthstone looks to be very… board based next year, which is where Control Warlock thrives.

AND Jaraxxus looks much better too lmao. With that, Tickatus and Rustwix Warlock is jam packed with all the anti control tools it could need.

So unless the next expansion buffs these archetypes massively:

  1. Deathrattle (are you sure you want a deathrattle meta? lol)
  2. Weapon Aggro (do you really want more Soul DH?)
or introduces new burn and gives EVERYONE obscene amounts of card draw,

Tickatus could become legitimately annoying and kill all other forms of control decks. Like Priest did for a while because it got the infinite resources Gala (or Warrior had done before that with Dr. Boom).

Well the problem with that idea is Warlock has School Spirits Hellfire Plague of Flames another Plague crapload of random healing for some reason Twist + Strongman and then oh look an 8/8 he tutored out that just destroyed your win condition with no counter play!

You don’t play Paladin a lot and it really shows with this post

Or maybe you don’t play it the same way as the people who are winning.

Galakrond warlock is favored against a couple of flavors of paladin. Other warlocks lose. Then again, paladin has a ton of matches that are close to auto wins as well.

I get it. Losing sucks. Losing a lot sucks even more. Feeling like there’s a specific card that simply can’t be beat sucks even more than that.

My personal favorite class (Shaman) loses to pretty much everything. Totems have a few favored matches but I personally hate totems so I don’t even get those wins.

You adapt, you quit, or you accept that sometimes you’ll lose.

Again…
