Can we finally revert reno now?

I believe he’s no longer in standard and everything else in wild is stupid so can we have Reno limiting board spaces yet again?

Reno is right were Reno belongs.

Could be reverted for wild easily. It’s not nearly as oppressive as the stuff already there is

No.

Reno is right where Reno belongs.

You need to see Reno in the context of the full Highlander support that already exists in Wild Mode. The limitation on board spaces is simply not a good game feature and it truly never was a fair card in that respect. Especially when it does not clear the player’s board or limit their board space.

The wild meta is much faster than Standard Mode, but that does not mean we need Reno to “fix” anything because all that does is ruin the meme decks we play for fun there.

Man, I remember when that card was in standard. Everyone defended it and called you bad if you lost to it. Oh how the turn tables.

What are you talking about. I knew it was OP since the day of its launch. I have psychological scars from it since it was my first expansion so I couldn’t even craft it.

I suffered at least 6 months of constant beating of my paladin decks (the only ones I had). It was a total joke when the Devs pretended they didn’t know it was OP.

State of the forums 2 years ago.

Let’s not just revert it, but go further to clear the entire board and limit both players to 1 space

That does not match my recollection at all.

It was despised in the original form and was nerfed at least twice.

It fosters a play style that really divides the playerbase.

Even the devs said it wasn’t fair how it removed the opponent’s portals and locations and left them 1 space, leaving no chance to rebuild their board

Nope, people defended it. Maybe you had different discussions with different people but…

I do remember the defenders. The defense was centered around the highlander requirement. Most also would point towards not over committing to the board and having enough in hand to refill your board. Finally, some would say you should win before it could come down (in a control heavy meta).

I was in the camp of it being broken, but people didn’t want to hear it.

I was just looking through past topics and I do not see what you claim.

It seems like the balance of players was unhappy with it.

I was rather neutral on it. I think it was okay after they increased the cost, but I was not upset when they removed the board restriction.

It was a solid 60/40 on the forums with most defending Reno, dropping vague statements about how you could play around it and how it isn’t OP because of Highlander lol.

I remember because I rarely ever post but that card was absurd so I threw my hat in the ring to trash talk that card. I thought the number of people defending it was ridiculous.

The problem with the card wasn’t the one sided board clear(other cards can do that) it was that it could remove more than just minions, and limited you to just 1 space until your next turn

I was one of the defenders, even getting banned from the forum on the nerf day,
I liked that Reno erased things like the Sargeras portal because that added a little more skill, at the time of playing infinite things, like forcing the Reno before you play your juggernaut and that kind of stuff,

However, I did not complain again. Once i noticed one thing that the game improved in general, especially in the sense that Shaman was abusing this battlecry with the help of the parrots and Shuderwock, and basically blocking you out of the game several turns in a row with the restriction of the board and i like it when that kind of things goes away…
I remember in those days when they played you Shuderwock it was game over, certain death, now there is more counter play…
