I gave the hero a try for the first time since probably the last time Darkmoon faire was around. Ive always seen this hero as super limited since almost all the tribes have shifted to a position where they are severely lacking in battlecry minions. I wasnt able to obtain my Brann card until turn 11. Thats how long it took to buy the battlecry minions needed to get it. and even after I got it there was no clear path as to any tribes that really can make it work like it used to. Only things I was able to cobble together was the Beast Rylak (looks like a Dragon but isnt) next to the neutral minion that gives me team mate a gold coin. The only other minions i was able to build was a large demon that undoes self inflicted damage paired with the golden demon that uses a health to refresh tavern 4x and a few times getting the demon that targets another demon to absorb a tavern minion into its stats. But the only reliable battlecry cards I would encounter were the neutral one that gave taunt and then +2/+2 to all taunt minions, and the one neutral minion that increases its buff it gives (starts at +2/+2, then +4/+4…etc) for each time youve played it. legit I mustve encountered maybe 4 demon bc minions, and maybe 1 beast bc, but all others neutrals… id guess it was close to a dozen neutral bc cards. with a whopping total of maybe only 20ish bc minions and thats in duos where Im being fed them if my partner encounters any i can benefit from.
I know in an ideal setup I have seen Rylak and quillboar with the rare +1 to health for blood gems boar, or for rylak + the elemental-demon that gives +2 hp to tavern minions for rest of game… but rylak is a late game encounter if im lucky and the 2 examples I just gave are also rare finds in a match once, let alone more than once.
Anyone got any decent strategies for the front part of the game (or the entire game for a lot of matches) for turns 1 -10 (thats like reaching t4) and Brann? I cant cheat out my hero power reward Brann from my partner as i have to purchase the bc minions to get it to tick down.
