Usually these co-op TBs are pretty easy. This one is beyond frustratingly hard. I’ve yet to come close in numerous tries.
Is there a key to winning this or does it just come down to luck?
There just doesn’t seem to be enough ways for either player to deal significant damage to the minion before he’s ramped up his attack to where the next face hit kills one or both players.
Any help/ideas will be greatly appreciated.

In short the key is to use Cho and Millhouse at the right moment. In the beginning concentrate only on healing and drawing cards and protecting each other. If the mage plays the secret then the druid must use it to copy a strong minion.
Near the end the mage fires all the damage spells at the mech which now cost 0 thanks to Millhouse. The druid then recives a copy of each spell because of Cho and then does the same.
But it is also luck. If the mech decides to hit the players in the face instead of attacking a minion for several rounds then you might loose anyway.

The mage secret is always mirror Entity. Try to give your opponent something good like troggzor or cho.
As mage, save it for when your opponent has some mana to give yo something good, too.

I have tried 10 games and never gotten close to sub 20 health on the boss.
In one of games, the teammate kept hitting my face thinking the boss is just some random feature of the map…

Overall, this brawl is the worst so far. I tried another 10 and still cannot get him down to under 20 health.
It’s insanely hard to have two players both know the game and be lucky enough.
The price might as well be 100 packs instead.
