Buying a 3rd of a card didn't create gold in battlegrounds

I lost the game because of this which sucks. As you can see i had that gold ramp pirate :confused: https: //ibb .co/XsdLYk9 doesn’t let me link but its an image of 2 of those little 2/1 balloon pirates with one in my hand
