Burrowing Mine doesn't explode when hand is full

Steps to Reproduce:

  • Condition: The players hand is full
  • Condition: The player draws Burrowing Mine from their deck

Expected Behavior:

  • The mine explodes (the player takes 10 damage)

Actual Behavior:

  • The mine is discarded as if it were a regular card

Impact:

  • Makes my Mech Warrior sad :frowning:

No bug here. In order for a Casts When Drawn card to activate, it must be able to enter the hand. If your hand is full, then the card is ‘burned’ and any Casts When Drawn effect will not activate.

This is intended behaviour.

Poor design then. As a player, I am punished if my opponent has a hand full after going through all of the effort of putting a bomb or mine in the other players deck.

It’s not a poor design, either. Having a full hand punishes the player anyways. There are many “casts when drawn” cards with benefits (like mankrik, ticket masters, ambushes, shadows etc.) Now imagine having a full hand AND also triggering the “casts when drawn” interaction for you. It’s a good gameplay element IMO.
