Bug in report system/people responding to reports

I’ve reported this player countless times, first for their battletag to help you identify the naming convention they use.

Then for botting due to the auto idle ’ end match’ that triggers if a player fails to do anything after a certain number of turns.

I then widdle them down to 1-2 health.

Each turn of theirs results in an instant burning rope since they don’t play anything, yet they never get kicked (due to botting/hacking)

I then proceed to kill my own minions, simply to make the match last as long as possible as then it is less beneficial to that player. I also let my timer run all the way out and auto end my turn each time, to prolong it as much as possible.

The same naming conventions keep popping up with the same derivatives. SDC SDF SDV, etc… etc… with what appears to be random characters after it.

Sometimes they come back and discover that the match is still going on after 30+ rounds, and concede so they can move on to the next unfortunate victim.

The latest match as recorded in Hearthstone Deck Tracker, won’t even load (yet?) I suspect that it’s just too long for them to be able to save/show it or they are intentionally hiding cheaters/hackers games from being replayed.

All in all, the big question is, if this player has been reported multiple times, for the same things, due to exhibiting the same behavior match after match, where is the break down?

Is it a bug in the reporting system?

Is it a bug in the people that monitor and address the reports?

Is it a bug in your policies that dictate how you address this behaviour?

in either case, there is a failing some how, I would suspect that more than myself would appreciate if you address the failure?

By all means contact me for their BNET name since I can’t post it here, but I will update the post that you asked and were provided it. If you don’t I won’t.

Balls in your court to address this failure. Lets see how you perform.

Don’t worry, I’ve capped the entire post so that if you delete because you don’t want to address it and don’t want people to know you don’t want to address it, I’ve got it covered to be shared on non-biased platforms.

Are any of those things actually against the game conduct rules?

Can you give specific examples?

I would suspect that using a bot to play is. You did read the above flow of events?

Reasonably, most non bot players that I know when faced with the situation below would not sit through 25 rounds of this.

  1. around turn 4 or 5 roughly they had 1-2 health left, no minions on the board, opponent has multiple minions that can end the match.
  2. opponent does nothing other than kill/counter everything you play, never ends turn, always let rope burn until auto end.
  3. opponent only plays cards when they have 10 in hand and next turn they would have the drawn card discarded. those played cards are used to kill/harm the opponents own minions.
  4. This goes on for 25 more rounds.

Now what reasonable player would sit around for that? Maybe one that is using a bot to auto play the game? Maybe others that I can’t mention why as it would be perceived against the COC.

wish I had recorded which deck and ‘days ago’ it was, to see if it would load now so I could share the link.

edit: you might think 30 rounds or so is impossible. It’s not. Especially when you can heal yourself or are immune to fatigue dmg I’m not sure if their is an achievement for winning X matches or killing X heroes or what ever via fatigue. The only way to find out, is to try. When I spot a botting player. I do my best to get the game to end by them taking fatigue damage until death. If I have to kill my own minions, to not have a drawn card discarded next turn (and the current card is not high value) I will. I’ll even let cards get discarded if I think it’s safe enough. I’ll draw out that game as long as possible if I think it’s a botting player. A bot will just keep playing. A human will eventually get annoyed and say screw this and concede 95% of the time. The concept of bots partially is if I win 1 out of every 5, the longer the bot plays, the more I get and most games are under 15 minutes. If I can make the match last 45… I totally sabotage that gain/time for a bit

edit2: coincidentally, the last couple of days I’ve started to notice a shift in play patterns and am starting to suspect it’s a change in bots behavior but I have not had enough chances to really cement my suspicions. I’ve noticed that every few games or so, the player seems to play everything as fast as possible and ends the turn. It’s like they’ve slid the slider from 7s or less time spent calculating their next action to 1s per action. I’ve only had one match in titans that appeared like that where I had them low in fatigue territory, but I was also low and didn’t want to risk it. time will tell though.

right now there are alot of blizzard bots on silver-gold mb platinium that act like that , i usually use them to farm hard achievements becouse later when you rank up you never find them … you detect them by the name with 2 capital letters DeadlyPants , GrumpyMonk , SleepyBear … most of the times standard cardback and after the game you don’t see them in the recent list

I suspect the HS player base is going down and some ranks are filled with bots to keep queue times fast , usually if i play good on day one of the month i go to diamon 5 in a couple of hours , and i think most of active player do that , and so silver 10 - diamond 5 become an empty place.

This are “genuine” blizzard bots , yes they are boring but dont let you lose time like player bots that rope all turns using all the full turn timer like in the past.

So win the game fast , rank up , mmr up , and you will find only real players.
