Bug - Charge doesn't prevent attacking face when cast by reno

The card clearly reads ‘can’t attack heroes this turn,’ however when cast on a minion by reno it doesn’t prevent it from attacking heroes as it should. Screenshots here: https://imgur.com/a/MCGlrLZ

I’ve seen someone report the same thing but for Corruption instead:

Seems these single turn enchantments expire immediately if applied in the start of turn phase. Which is weird in Charge’s case because I’d expect it to expire at the end of a turn. I don’t recall this reported for Scroll of Wonder though. Maybe the expiration takes place just after start of turn effects, but before the natural draw?

Well, that minion was already in play and if it had not had any “buffs”, it would have been able to attack as it did. If the card had said “give a minion Rush”, then all would be fine since the minion did not have summoning sickness. The real issue in this case may be in the way the spell Charge is worded vs how it is implemented.

What happens if one plays Charge on a minion with no summoning sickness, can it attack face or not?

It loses the ability to attack heroes. The only issue I’m aware of with the card’s implementation is that the restriction is known to renew if the minion is then copied on a later turn, inconsistent with any other “this turn” effect. But after seeing this report I kinda want to re-test that one and see if it still happens. May have been quietly fixed.
