Buff shaman quest, thoughts?

As i am playing standard ranked attempting to make quest shaman work it is a fun and interactive deck. However i do find myself playing against tons of pirate warrior and asking myself, “why is their quest 3/2/2, and mine is 3/3/3”? Both quest completions are powerful, however the means to it is a huge difference. Pirate warrior gets loads of overstat low cost minions, tempo, and weapons. Quest shaman requires more cards to achieve your end goal, and you inherently fall behind because of the overload mechanic (outside of completion 1). As the game progresses you are constantly down a mana or 2, while the pirate warrior is blasting minions every turn to no loss, and can achieve their final completion much faster. Does quest for shaman need a buff? Or does pirate warrior just need another nerf?

I would say it is this one, tbh.

I haven’t played quest shaman post nerf, but pirate warrior is sort of walking on most of everything atm.

Quest Pirate is the most brain dead quest out there. Play a pirate, then, play a pirate, then, guess what, play a pirate, and then a pirate! Reminds me of old Murloc Paladin years and years ago, play a Murloc, then a murloc, then a murloc, and then a murloc.

They need to do what they did with Warlock and up the requirements (number of pirates)

The way they nerfed Warlock wasn’t a proper way to nerf that deck and nerfing Pirate Warrior by just upping the amount of Pirates for each step isn’t sufficent. What should be done is just:

Make it 3 pirates on all the steps
Completely remove the 2x2 damage reward and replace it with something else
Juggernaut can only summon/equip common or rare pirates/weapons, 2x2 damage removed

Apparently there’s still a few high ranked people running quest shaman to #50 legend spots last month but hsreplay disabled replay viewing for idk why so it beats me what’s being ran.

Interesting, ill do some digging and try someone elses list. I’ve tried to brew my own several ways and do well in some matchups but often fall behind due to the overload mechanic and length to complete quest. By the time brukan is online many other decks are already going for the kill (turn 7-8)

I found this on HSReplay as the highest performing Quest Shaman.

Yes lets buff quest shaman so there could be more tier 1 shaman decks, not enough right?

In legend in the past week, Quest Shaman is the highest performing shaman deck at tier two with a 51.22% winrate. It doesn’t need to be buffed it would seem.

Shaman is fine. Freeze Shaman is every bit as sickening as Freeze Mage ever was. Give it a rest already.
