Brann doesn’t copy guffs battlecry when it clearly says
BATTLECRY: (insert guff text here)
It doesn’t give you 10 armor and draw 2 cards and give you 2 extra mana crystals when you play it with brann which is obviously a bug

It should draw 2 cards, gain 2 crystals, but the armour is not part of the battle cry.
Should also mention all hero cards don’t give double armor because
Thought I must ask skiltfomg about this part.
Did you not get extra cards and mana, or were you preoccupied with seeing you did not get the anticipated armor you did not notice?
I tried this vs the inn keeper, got 2 mana and drew 2 cards
Hero cards don’t play as minions or spells (can’t be blocked). Brann I believe only duplicates battlecries of minions.
Edit: unless the above is correct. In which case the OP just didn’t notice. Clearly I don’t often use Brann.
Thanks for testing.
Brann worth it in Ramp Druid then you reckon?
It’s kinda iffy.
Branning Guff is just a good Wild Growth. And Brann is best when you play a lot of Battlecries in one turn, which would be post-Guff.
Branning Ivus into Innervate and Earthen Scales is a very cool play, but not normally more effective than without Brann. And if that’s what you use Bran on, you’re not using it on anything else.
Branning Azshara is nice. Same deal with Zola the Gorgon.
If you do run Brann you pretty much need to run School Teacher.
But overall though, I think Brann would make Ramp Druid want to run enough cards different that it competes with the Oracle package. And I don’t think Brann is better than the Oracle package.
20 Mana Brann to Ivus, innervate, scales. Surely that’s a mirror match killer right?? Probably not needed vs any other deck though I agree.
Edit: you think cutting one Jerry Rig is worth a Brann or Zola slot?
The best versions of the Oracle package run both Smothering Starfish (whose main job in the mirror is killing Ivuses) and Battleground Battlemaster (to deal more damage with a couple of huge minions). I don’t think it’d be a huge advantage, but testing would be required to estimate how much if any.
I think the correct number of Carpenters is 1 and the correct number of Choose One cards is 2, both of which are Nourish. You’re not going to win against aggro by removing a single minion with Wrath, you’re going to win by playing Nourish or Guff on turn 4 or 5 into Scale or Growth the next turn. Wrath makes Carpenter worse.
Yes you are. Lol it’s how you beat alot of aggro and tempo decks and hit other important minions. Taking out wrath is without a doubt the wrong move.
Rigger hitting wrath is perfectly fine and in many cases the thing you want to hit.
I don’t think anyone playing the deck realistically can argue that you want to cut this card.
The VS podcast this past weekend suggested that lists which replaced Wraths with Druids of the Reef were better because you get the best of both worlds: You still get the removal, but Carpenter is guaranteed to draw you Nourish.
All the druids I played against that were playing with the reefs seemed like far inferior decks. They were easy to beat because they lacked the draw option and removal of minions behind taunt.
I never lost to any of those reef minion decks as a mirror match.
My ride to legend after switching to my decklist was a breeze. Wrath is a major player because it also pairs well with the 1 drop that needs 5 mana to come online. Not to mention, the Wrath helps get naga online faster.
I’ll never be sold on the reef build over Wrath based on my experience with how it operates.
To add on top of all that, more non dragon minions means you have to play Kaz later, which may cause problems when you can’t play him before the other druids or in other matchups where you need the swing win.
Way more cons than pros.
eh… the deck already runs a ton of non-dragon minions, so many that realistically you empty your deck before playing kaz either way. it has the draw to support such a gameplay.
i’m not an expert on druid, so i cannot comment on if reefs are better than wraths, but that’s what data retrieval sites are for. Regardless of one person’s experience, if the majority of the data point into one direction or another, it is easy to figure, especially since the cards are basically 1-for-1 replacement.
so far, the opinions seems to be split though, at least what i’ve faced today, was 1 druid with both, 2 druids with wrath, and 2 druids with reef.
I think they actually cut wrath for Jerry rig carpenter. But i don’t think they run reef either. They basically want Jerry rig to guarantee draw nourish
does it work?
I thought after the first battlecry you are at 0 mana so the second battlecry does nothing, isn’t that the case?
If it gets buffed 2 times the number of mana spent, wouldn’t it be wrongly worded?
So um Data Reaper #228 is out.
That’s the same thing that they said on the podcast. I still disagree. Jerry rig hitting nourish isn’t some important play that must happen, and I already run 1 copy only of Jerry rig.
And I disagree with using reefs with elune how they suggest. Elune being saved for ivus and naga is the way better play. The only benefit of reef for any game im playing is if they do trogg on 1 and I have to wait for wrath on 2 instead. But those aren’t common enough to justify it for me. Wrath to hit minions hiding behind taunt is important.
It’s very doable to use Reef on the same turn you’re cloning Giants.
