All of a sudden over the last day and a bit bot accounts seem to be trying a different approach when it comes to naming their accounts it seems. Normally they are names like Mightyowl, Greyimp, or alfejaiofehjo… but now I’m seeing a influx of accounts with names like goodgood trytry, the same word repeated twice. Is anyone else encountering this?
seems every ban wave they try something different
like changing names i noticed some no longer concede at the start of your turn if you have lethal
the first change i noticed after the first ban wave they stopped using those basic DK decks ( and started using the default names instead of 3 letter names )
it’s really suprising when i get a game against an actual human. i’m losing all interest in the game and it’s only because every game is against a BOT. i’ve never even seen a BOT in mtga and have played for years. i read that they use unique account identifiers or something idk. blizzard is losing the BOT battle and every game i played today was against a BOT.
Yep, go figure… not much point in banning bots when your game is free and they can just make more.
YOu can only change your name once for free, or did they change that?
It gives the impression your game is populated.
Many gaming companies don’t even use live bots, but just record player action to make their bots, like Backpack Battles. At least Backpack Battles mentions you are not playing against live opponents, Blizzard is coy about it and only sporadically mentions they use bots.
Aging multiplayer games used to just be shut down, now they keep them artificially alive with bots. Kinda like Twitter where 99% of users are just bots, and the only real people left are tech illiterates, unaware they are talking to bots.
That is not a fair comparison. Backpack Battles is an autobattler. The battle part has no meaningful human inputs. It’s all about arranging the backpacks and that part is done by humans. Just because the battle part is async doesn’t mean bots. That’s like saying BG’s are all bots all the time because humans only do the tavern phase everything else is done by the game.
It also gives the impression that you actually have the chance to win sometimes when you don’t buy cards, and you lose too many times in a row to the magic (purchased) DH or Warrior or Warlock or Paladin decks.
